Bestway Filter Pump for Above Ground Pool, 1,500 gal Swimming Pool Filter Pump

I was traumatised after buying a 1000 GPH pump that burned out the moment I plugged it in. Thankfully, this one completely exceeded my expectations! It works perfectly, is very quiet, and has more than enough power to run our waterfall. I’m absolutely delighted with this purchase and would highly recommend it!

Best purchase for the pool, wished I had bought sooner, easy to setup and use, the filter is easy to clean out after a couple of days i have noticed alot of grime and bits that would have been in the pool if not for this. Updated after being on all week, it is still an excellent purchase, you can 'burp' the machine to get the airflow going quicker, I find that if you turn the filter off put the stoppers back into the pool, clean the filter and turn back on, using the little turn dial on top of the machine to burp it for 30 seconds works a treat, it says to do this in the instruction manual, you still have to use a net to get bits out but this does help with the cleaning as it's moving the water around not standing/stagnant water. I find that as well as a float for my chlorine dispenser I break one in half and stick it in to where the water flows back in from the filter so it constantly pump chlorinated water back into the pool. Definitely would recommend

After only a few weeks use my pump blew the electrics and then failed to work at all. No pump = no heater and so pool was out of use after only three days. Contacted Bestway who took 6 working days to respond and made several ridiculous requests of things I needed to supply photos and videos of. I completed all on the same date and then waited another 5 working days for them to ask for yet more photos and videos of the pool set up and socket etc. This went on from 16.05.2025 until 25.07.2025 - so most of the summer without a working pump - each time they would take a minimum of 5 working days to reply despite me responding immediately in most cases. Each contact from Bestway requested information already provided - duplicates of photos and confirmation of whether the pump was bought as part of a set despite me advising them on the first interaction that it was not AND supplying the original purchase receipt to show it was bought on its own. I explained my dissatisfaction at every juncture and requested details of complaints process FIVE TIMES and I remain yet to receive them! Bestway insisted that the pump be plugged into a socket inside the home despite being aware that an electrician had confirmed that this item was faulty and caused my electrics to blow. I tried to argue this but they insisted and the pump was plugged in to a kitchen socket which I did and immediately the pump burst into flames on my kitchen worktop! I was videoing the plugging in as requested by Bestway and pointed out that their insistence to have me jump through hoops in an attempt a £40 payout from a company worth almost £300,000,000 had damaged by property i.e. kitchen worktop. Had I not been concentrating anything could have happened. Bestway response merely stated we will replace the pump once you send us yet another photo. No apology and still no confirmation of the complaints process! Absolutely terrible.

It works, seems to be sucking in air from somewhere which is causing a little problem for a water pump. As this happens the pump starts to struggle,

Second one and only lasted 1 summer for both. Disappointing

Easy to install, worth every pound, good flow, in the first 48g I had to clean the filter 3 times, visibly cleaner water in my pool

In all honesty. Fairly useless at its function as was the one supplied with the pool . Just doesn’t seem to have the power to pump the water back in or strong suction . Always seems to find a way of getting air locks . Overall not a great product

Gute, leise Pumpe. Macht was sie soll und lässt sich einfach montieren. Abzug aufgrund der schlechten Beschreibung: erst durch mehrere Unterpunkte sieht man, dass der Stecker für UK ist und somit nicht in einen normalen EU Stecker passt. Positiv war die kulante Lösung durch Amazon. Das ist immer Top. :) also Augen auf beim Kauf: hier benötigt man definitiv einen Adapter zur Nutzung

Zwar ein gutes Gerät aber nicht für den deutschen Markt gedacht, da mit „englischen“ Stecker geliefert. Ich konnte auch bei der Producktbeschreibung nichts zum Stecker finden können. Deshalb nur 4 Sterne. Ansonsten ein gutes Gerät.

Aucune force d'aspiration! la pompe tourne à vide et ne se rempli jamais si ce n'est avec de l'air! section de tube trop grosse en rapport au micro moteur de 4cm2! de plus vous achetez sur le store FR et on vous livre une prise UK! a fuir!
