If you are a ham, you gone to love this, don’t loos the zip tie that came with it because is reusable and sturdy. Don’t assembly on a rush or around kids or pets as it’s made with cheap lightest plastic and it I’ll brake. When you close it it will hold. It takes couple of seconds to released. Don’t brake the 1 inch antenna mounted on the on and off bottom located on the claw itself, it’s almost invisible however, if you want to install that dipole or get over a tree and get a rope without paying thousands. This will definetly do the job, 100% Don’t wait till field day or any other mayor thing to try tonoutbgings together, the zip tie will help keep the load balanced and it’s not replaceable with him depot zip ties. If you fly jerky and fast you will cash your drone, nice steady and slow will get you to release without braking blades and fakery. Don’t assemble near pets kids cats or anything cutouts because it will brake. Besides that it did its job 15 times. Haven’t used yet, but seems functional, very plasticky, made in the Peoples Republic so it’s Chinesium. Just like a claw yaw at the stuff animal machine heavier side for being small. So far shows promising to get lines between trees and get out. If it works for over a month I’ll bumped to 5 starts bust at least on the ground may work. May require another person to activate as the main operator have to compensate for weigh deviation. More to come

What a neat little gadget. Secured a parachute soldier underneath and dropped it from 400 feet and chased it down. Everyone was watching!

This gadget, which I am calling a grappling hook, but which the manufacturer calls an airdrop system is, indeed, much more suited for dropping than for grappling. I bought it in hopes of being able to grab and remove bird's nests from the roof of my two-story house, too high for me to get up onto. I have a DJI Mini 4K drone, one of the drones the device is supposed to be compatible with. It works more or less, but the DJI Mini 4K, which alone is extremely stable, becomes rather unstable with the grappling hook attached. It will sometimes climb, and sometimes descend, and sometimes move horizontally even when I am not touching the control sticks. I speculate that this is because the hook attaches to the drone with a strap around its middle which may throw it out of trim, and that the hook itself may confuse the drone's camera-based stabilization system. After several tries I had to give up trying to grab the nest with the hook. The best I could do was drop an old shoe on the nest in hopes that the birds will abandon the nest and go elsewhere. In fairness, they do call it an airdrop system and not a grappling hook. Still, lack of stability is an issue. The device basically works as advertised, but loses one star for making the drone unstable and therefore much harder to control. The grappling hook has a built-in rechargeable battery, but the remote uses a regular 9-volt battery. The remote also has confusing switches: The on-off switch has meaningless labels. (Up is On and Down is Off) and the controls for the hook say "ON" and "OFF" rather than "Open" and "Close" and this is also confusing. I've subtracted one star for the overall poor design of the remote. Overall I rate it acceptable. Three stars. It might work better with a bigger, more powerful drone.

I bought this as a request for my kid to drop stink bombs from my drone on his cousins. This thing is absolutely perfect for the job.

This works well but it takes a huge toll on the drone. You get a ton of error messages and it's only good for one delivery. I don't blame the product itself particularly but they should at least warn you that it doesn't play well with DJI Mavic Mini 2. Also the hook on the payloader needs to be aligned manually. This is not a big deal. Overall it's a good product that performed well. Just be aware of these issues

Drone will have problems going down from this design it covers the sensor so it has to be forced landed with this on
