SYNOPSIS: Director Noboru Iguchi (The Machine Girl, RoboGeisha) is back with his entry in to the ongoing Tomie horror film series based on a popular manga by Junji Ito. Tsukiko (Moe Arai), who belongs to a photography club at high school, always feels inferior to her elder sister, Tomie (Miu Nakamura). Tomie is breathtakingly beautiful and popular among the male students, including Toshio, whom Tsukiko is secretly in love with. One day an awful accident kills Tomie right in front of her younger sister. Since then Tsukiko suffers from a nightmare night after night. A year later Tsukiko and her parents are surrounding a birthday cake to celebrate dead Tomie s 18th birthday. Suddenly they hear an eerie knock at the door. Unbelievably, it is Tomie. She s back. The father and mother blindly welcome Tomie in tears, but Tsukiko feels instinctive fear. Tomie gradually reveals her true face, but only when she is with Tsukiko. Now Tsukiko s nightmare becomes reality, and the terrifying days begin... SPECIAL FEATURES:Interview with Director Noboru IguchiTrailer Review: Tomie - Still Don't Understand It - I bought Tomie: Unlimited without seeing any other Tomie movies, and I also have not read the manga either. It was overall a disappointment, although at some part it was very well done. The biggest let down of the movie was because it seemed as though they did not know where they were going to take it, and the vast majority of the film is made up of ridiculous scenes. The atmosphere of the movie is very well done though, and it deserves credit for making the scenes very lonely and solitude which reflects Tsukiko's life. The actors did very well too, especially in making everything eerie and Tomie was the best at doing that. By the end of the film I had no idea what was going on. I hope someone one day explains the plot of the movie to me, because I honestly have no idea. I have rated it 3 stars as many of the scenes were laughable and I do not understand what the whole movie was about; however, it did make for some good watching, very good acting, and was a bit creepy. If, however, you are wanting a very frightening horror..I definitely would not recommend this. Review: Tomie, Tomie, Tomie! - Directed by Noboru Iguchi of "Machine Girl" fame, this "Tomie" of the franchise is possibly the most unique yet -- it's certainly the most Craziest! "Unlimited" and "Forbidden Fruit" are my faves, though "Rebirth" (directed by Takashi Shimizu of "Ju-on/The Grudge" fame) is recommended as I think it's the third best in the series. What's particularly welcome with this installment is the tightened-up pacing which adds an extra edge to the proceedings, as do the multiplying Tomies. Crazy! Ah, so you can't get enough of Tomie, eh? MUAH HA HA If you're into insane/weird films (especially if you dig so-called J-Horror), then give this twisted sucker a go. "Unlimited" strikes a successful balance of Creepy and Hilarious like "Rebirth", except that it forgoes Takashi Shimizu's trademark slow building surreally atmospheric style for a increasingly gonzo freneticism. I forgot to mention how much better the picture and sound quality is on the "Unlimited" DVD compared to all the other ones in the series. I have yet to purchase "Tomie vs. Tomie" and so I of course cannot comment in any way on that one.

MIU NAKAMURA TOP TIER WAIFU! 🥰
Great addition to the tomie anthology movies. Directed by noboru iguchi and starring the positively delicious gravure idol ‘Miu nakamura’ Plenty of gore and uk bluray pq is good, with good sound. Worth the purchase just for miu alone. She really is that smoking hot. Highly recommend this title, if you’re a fan of iguchi’s movies.

Write a review?? Oh yes, I'll write a review. I love the Tomie series of movies. This one should have never been made. Noboru Iguchi is a great director for movies like Machine Girl and Zombie Ass: Toilet of the Dead, but he absolutely ruined Tomie with this pile of rotting garbage. I like his other movies, I just think he should have left Tomie alone. This series is not his kind of horror. Also, I cannot agree more with previous reviewers who noted that the girl playing Tomie was ugly. In the case of these movies, this matters very much as the whole essence of Tomie is her beauty, and casting dropped the ball on this one. This "Tomie" didn't get hit with the ugly stick, she went skiing through the ugly forest and hit every tree on the way down. I can't even believe the pedophile father wanted anything to do with her. What they should have done was use the actress playing Tsukiko as Tomie, and vice versa. That would have been more accurate to the story. But the rest of the movie makes no sense, why should that part. Then there's the crazy stuff. Talking tumors growing from necks, miniature Tomie heads in Tupperware, Tomie heads joined to make centipedes, a school girl running around with no head, and a woman running around with her head on upside down. These may be perfect for any of Iguchi's other movies, but they have no place in a Tomie movie. The resulting piece of trash that I refuse to call a film is an abomination, a travesty, and a perversion of an otherwise good series of movies. Considering that this was the last Tomie made, I blame Iguchi, who is also responsible for the "screenplay", for the death of the series. The one running consistency throughout all of the installments is that Tomie could never die... but apparently all it took to kill her for good was director Noboru Iguchi. In short, don't waste your time on this drive, you'll never get that time back. If your bored, paint a wall and watch it dry. Burn ants with a magnifying glass. Buy an hourglass and keep flipping it over and over, and try to count the grains of sand. Anything but this. Literally anything. One star given because Amazon will not let me log none. So please consider it as a NEGATIVE one star.
