I purchased this robe for my husband who is picky about anything with long sleeves because he gets too hot. However, he really loves this robe and it fits him perfectly. It is lightweight so it doesn’t make him sweat and it dries quickly. He says it’s very comfortable and I know he’s telling the truth because he actually wears it! It’s a well made, lightweight robe that is very reasonably priced.

Nice robe, I like the length. However, the recommended size for me was 3xl. Its too large.

The Oxford definition of terrycloth is "a fabric with raised uncut loops of thread covering both surfaces, used especially for towels." Kind of like those great robes in hotels. This robe is not even close to that definition. I wanted something that would keep me warm in the winter and be absorbent post-shower. This is some sort of very thin material (I'm not sure it's 100% cotton as advertised. There's no tag on it showing what it's made of.) that won't be warm and has no plushness to it at all. The description is misleading and should have "terrycloth" removed. I'm confused how other reviewers can call this warm. It might be a good Summer robe but it's useless for what I wanted. This is why I have been skeptical about buying clothes on line. I'll try to return it but live remotely so I'm not sure how.

This is so soft and comfortable BUT if you are wet even slightly you will get black fabric all over you.

So, this is not a true terry cloth robe, it is not bath towel material. But I believe this material is called French terry? The outside has a towel-like texture but the inside that rests against your skin is smooth. It’s not an absorbent material, but this is a thicker French terry and feels like very good quality. It’s thick and well made. It has a little stretch and give to it, and is a nice long length. I find the belt to be a little strange, it is attached to the robe on the right side, right beside the belt loop. I like that it’s attached so I won’t lose it, but I just find it to be odd placement lol. Overall a decent robe if you’re not looking for top quality, but just something comfy to throw on around the house. The missing star is because even on sale at $42 these are a little pricey for what you get. If the price were a little better I would probably pick up another robe or two.
