I used this (and a little ingenuity) to pull a 17,000-pound sailboat over 1200' across a salt marsh where Helene left her. I provided 500Amps of 12v DC from my house bank and it did the rest. It took 3 tide cycles since I did it in 50' chunks, but I am the only one of 16 stranded boats to get out on my own and completely undamaged. Pay attention to heating and duty cycle but, overall, the winch is awesome.

There is nothing good to say about this product. I really expected SOME level of quality from a $1200 winch. Wouldn't pull things with 3 snatch blocks that my 13k with pulled single line. Freewheel lever worked good for about a week. Even then. It was hard to pull the rope out. Shattered the gears internally under a mild load. Not worth a hundred bucks. Can't even find it on the page anymore. Had previous models, and should have known better. First one leaked oil before even removing it from the box. Replacement lasted a couple weeks.

20 k winch this is a 11,500 pound machine completely dead (track machine ) will buy it again with out any doubt super happy with this product easy to install did the whole thing on n about 3 hours including welding , 1inch plate and the base for the battery box highly recommend Thanks

This winch is being used on my towtruck and it pulls stuff on faster then my hydrolic winch ever did 100% recommended Only thing that need to be improved is they need to send 2 remotes not just 1

Had lots of winches over the years and built lots of machines with them, seems to be a quality piece, see how it holds up but definitely we put it through its paces today, slight rewire and added quick disconnect cables, day 1, I think it’s worth the extra…. We removed a 13,000 lb to try this as it seems heavy duty…

After three weeks of having this installed with little use, seems to have a very loud squeal coming from the clutch side of the winch

This is absolutely beautiful, well thought out and well built. The materials appear to be absolutely top notch. It's smooth to operate and the wired remote that turns into a rechargeable wireless remote is a great idea. The ability to control it from up to 100 feet away is perfect for versatility as well as safety. It includes a battery cut off which is essential for an accessory like this and the cables are sized in such a way that only two of the positive cables will actually fit. As I mentioned in my review title, the included documentation is a bit sparse and doesn't really talk about putting all the pieces together. It does show the wiring and the wires are labeled so it would be hard to mess that up which is great but the control unit etc. should have some documentation. I still can't figure out how the fairlead attaches to the winch. All the pictures show it at the front where I'd expect yet the only holes that line up are the ones to mount on the bottom. To me, the front of the winch body should have two threaded holes to mount it but they're just not there. The winch, packaging, labeling and even the quality of the manual itself is impressive - I really think this could be a 5 star product with a little more information. There are videos out there regarding this brand but the couple I've watched so far haven't really addressed my fairlead dilemma.

This winch is no joke. I've used it several times to haul various vehicles on to my flat bed that were no longer operational, including having sized brakes, etc. This guy has no issue pulling it all. I replaced my aging winch with this one and couldn't be happier.
