These hinges are absolutely awesome and the kit contains with everything you need to install these hinges into your project. They have pretty tight tolerances which prevents the door from sagging and lets you have the extra weight on the hinges. Customer service was absolutely great. They helped figure out the math needed for the correct gaps and swing of the door. They also even made a custom rough drawings to show locations. 100% would recommend!

In an ideal world these would probably be great. You better have an engineering degree to get them installed correctly. And there's too much tolerance between the locking pins and the plate they engage in. I can't imagine these being used in a quality install without considerable re engineering.

This kit is brilliantly designed. I don't doubt the 570lb weight rating at all - the metal is very substantial, and the pins/bearings are very smooth. The powder coating quality is excellent. I honestly didn't know these types of hinges existed til I stumbled across this, and I'm very glad I did. The cost of this kit is below what I was looking at rigging up with some hinges and locking mechanisms. I didn't quite understand from the listing what the adjustment mechanism is on the top hinge, but once I got the kit, it was clear. It's for a zero-clearance insert for the top hinge. You can retract the pin, position your door in place, and then drop the pin back in place. The only clearance you need to account for is the bottom hinge, which is a small margin to drop the bottom pin into the bearing. Again, brilliant design.

Built this Murphy Door from solid ash so by the time it's added with books or pictures I'm sure I'll be at the 570lb limit😬 but so far so good

Very well built and seem sturdy so far. I am a DIY older man and had to take some time to understand the directions but the turned out great.

This was just what I needed to hide my office door. The hinges are very strong and solid/heavy and were very easy to install with no issues. The lock holds in place very well and closes at exactly the same spot every time. Hidden doors are such a pain to install, but this has helped a lot. The adjustment on the top hinge is almost a necessity so that you can have a little bit of wiggle room on your measurements. Would 100% buy this one again in the future.

This is heavy, and made of thick steel. The "hinge" / swinging ability is great; it's easy to swing out and back in, but somewhat more difficult to attach. The "locking ball" mechanism to keep it in place isn't great (or super hard to install right), but if you're making a hidden entrance RFID + magnetic lock is easy to set up and 100x better (especially if used in combination). Considering the price of heavy duty standard hinges, the pricing doesn't seem terrible.

I always had that fantasy of having hidden doors in my house. Now, that dream is a reality!!! I've got a few hidden door hinges, found DIY plans, adapted them to my needs and here I am, with a few hidden places around my new house!! I love it! This specific set is very well made, sturdy and silent. It's easy to install and works similarly to the others. They are on the heavier side, sturdy and durable. Good for DIY projects. Definitely a good product and worth the price!

I started but soon stopped, I don't have the skill level to install this on my own. I have a friend, who's a carpenter, he saw the instruction info that came with the hinge and he assures me they're sound. I'll update my review when the door is installed.
