With the Core 1, Alphacool presents a new generation of CPu water cooling. The latest desktop processors are constantly becoming more powerful, but they also produce more and more waste heat. The Core 1 reliably solves this problem with the help of its completely newly developed 3D jet plate, which is also used in industry. The CPu water cooler, made entirely of metal, not only impresses with its elegant appearance, but also has a new mounting system that simplifies installation. New mounting system The mounting system has also been revised. Compared to the previous Alphacool models, it requires fewer screws. First, the backplate (Intel) is pre-assembled with four spacers. Then the thermal paste is applied to the CPu. The appropriate mounting frame is then placed on the CPu cooler and fastened to the spacers with four nuts. Core Design The functional and elegant design is a central element of Alphacool's Core series. The nickel-plated connections and the subtle contour line stand out from the high-quality brass housing. Das tut er sehr gut, auf einen Schlag 20-25 Grad kühler als mit Luft Kühlung überhaupt möglich wäre. Dafür war er sein Geld auf jeden Fall wert. Was mich nur etwas stört ist, das ich gedacht habe, das er mit RGB beleuchtet ist. Hab ihn angeschlossen und er leuchtet nicht. Jetzt weiß ich nicht, woran es liegt..... Review: I first seen this block as proto type and loved the look and that it's all metal, so as soon as I could I ordered one. Was not disappointed, build quality is right there with all the rest of my alpha cool parts. The look was spot on in my setup, I do wish the AC logo was easier to flip around since I had to rotate the block 180° to work with my loop layout but was able to gently lift it off a flip it. The only ding if you can even call it that is the cold plate is not completely flat, it is a little concave which can cause a issue with some CPU's if they are also concave ( Intel 1700 socket ) or if you lap your CPU flat in as installed state ( contact frame lapping ) I went ahead and lapped the block to a completely flat surface and test mounting results were outstanding, core to core delta is great and now my 13700K at 5.6 all core OC in cinabench runs keeps every core under 80c, no small feat on Intel's heat monsters. Definitely recommend block for anyone doing a custom loop and want top performance, you just may need to do a little extra for the best results.
