Works great as a preventative. Get the larger syringe
Because I have 3 homes, & some of these have broken, I've bought 5 of these so far. What I've learned: There are 2 styles: Syringe and Saline, and (just) Syringe. I recommend the 'Syringe and Saline'. The syringe is substantially larger (look carefully at the pictures, and you can see the difference). The larger syringe holds more water, & it comes out at a slightly lower pressure. Every one of the smaller syringes that I've bought has tightened up over time, and eventually broken. I haven't had any problem with the bigger ones yet. For me, they both work great to prevent earwax build up. I use it once or twice a week after I shower. As long as I've kept up with it, I haven't had an ear wax clog. When I slacked off, & got a clog, this was not always able to clear the clog. In that case I had to resort to earwax removal drops.

Works as intended
Works good!! I put some of the ear drops in then waited. First time I went with the syringe and it got some ear wax out. I had seen a review saying wait an hour then go back and use the ear syringe again. Wow 2nd time around it got rid more ear wax than the first time. I was amazed how stuff came out now I can hear pin drops.

Good product
The syringe provides a good volume of water, larger than the squeeze bulb that came with my earwax drops. I measured the usable volume is about 70ml. The flow of water does not hit the eardrum directly instead it hits at nearly right angles to it so it was not as uncomfortable as the bulb. After 4 tries it did remove the wax I had been trying to remove for several days with the drops and bulb. Then again this could have been the result of all those drops and prior bulb efforts loosening it up. I will give it the credit for getting the wax out. I like it and will continue to use it. I can't see the benefit of putting salt in the water for the ears.

Effectiness will vary
Clog was softened but too large for this to be effective so I went to a doctor to unclog.

Hail the conquering hero, I can hear!!
Extremely easy to use. Get sterile body temp water. Insert syringe, tilt head over bowl. Make sure to depress the plunger with force and the results are amazing. 10 bucks & I can hear again. Used to use debrox often snd got to drs. No more. Great product!

Water in My Ear Led to a Severe Infection
I don’t like to leave a poor review. However, after using this item, one of my ears became severely infected. The inside of my ear became so swollen, so painful and led to a temporarily lost the hearing in that ear due to the infection. I had to go to an ENT doctor to have a “wick” inserted in my ear (See my photo) in ordered for antibiotic drops to reach deep inside the ear for it to heal. The doctor said that this infection likely started as “swimmers ear” (water in the ear, I do not swim) that led to the severe infection. After several doctor visits and antibiotics, I fortunately regained my hearing, After my experience, I would never use a product of this type without the recommendation and guidance of an ENT doctor.

Easy
Five stars. I did it 2–3 times with a 30-minute break, then another 3 times and another 30-minute break — to soften the wax. After that, I used two more syringes, and the earplug came out. But then I noticed that my other ear started hearing worse, and that’s when I realized I needed to flush that one too, even though I thought it was fine before. Now I can hear colors.

Good
It's a good product. In the first try you might not get the clog out of the ear if it is very hard. Give a 6hrs gap after the first try. You might get better result in the second try. This is from my experience. It seemed costly. It's worth to buy it. What a product.
