Good Value!
Good Value and viable. Bacillus Subtilis is a spore born bacterium found in the soil, that normally clings to vegetables. It resists stomach acid and kills off the bad gut bacteria. Add Bacillus Coagulans for a double whammy!

A capsule a day puts a vitamin factory in your gut!
Bacillus subtilis is a good citizen of the microbiome in your gut. It plays well with the other beneficial microbes and pumps out vitamin K2, a very important vitamin that has benefits to cardiovascular and bone health. This microbe feeds on the prebiotics in your digestive tract and releases the most desirable form of vitamin K2, the MK7 form, which stays in your system longer than the other forms of vitamin K2 and, therefore, has a greater effect. The health benefits of vitamin K2 MK7 come from its ability to transport excess calcium from soft tissues, where it should not be, and sending the calcium to the bones and teeth, where it is needed. This reduces the risk of hardening of the arteries and soft tissue calcium deposits while simultaneously reducing the risk of osteoporosis by transporting calcium to where it is needed in the bones and teeth. This product is priced competitively and has a more than ample dosage of live bacillus subtilis. The formulation includes a dose of the prebiotic fiber inulin, which will nourish the bacillus subtilis and help it get established, so it can provide a steady output of MK7 into your system from within. I like the fact that the recommended use is just one capsule per day, in the morning, as I take a stack of supplements and like to take as few pills as possible. I have found this product to have no negative effect on digestion, the price is very good and the bottle contains a two month supply. I will reorder,

Good at helping
Got this in hopes of helping clear up my staph breakouts since I unfortunately have more present on my skin & am more prone.. I will say, IT HAS HELPED!!!. It’s helped my staph clear up faster & anytime I start to see any that I suspect may be it- it clears it up pretty much immediately. This will definitely be apart of my regimen when it comes to flare ups. 🙏🏻 :)

Good for adding to a microbial dairy ferment
It came on time with reasonable shipping (to Canada), and with the addition of some inulin and organic corn starch (and milk) it made a nice, curdy dairy ferment for stirring into my L. gasseri/B. coagulans yogurt. My only regret is that the bottle does not specify which strain of Bacillus subtilis it is.

Perfect for homemade yogurt
I recently purchased this product to make yogurt at home, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! The yogurt turned out creamy, smooth, and delicious—just as good as, if not better than, store-bought options. I appreciate how consistent the results are; every batch has been perfect. This has become an essential tool in my kitchen for healthy, homemade yogurt. Highly recommended!

Great product... Great Customer Service!
I'm 5 stars for Vitacost’s customer service. My purchase came open. The safety seal was opened and I was afraid to use the product for fear it had been tampered with. I notified Amazon who directed me to the Vitacost customer service email. I sent an email on Sunday morning at around 5 am. By Monday morning I had a reply. I sent the information they needed about my issue and they sent out a new bottle the same day. As for the Bacilus Subtilus I ordered I haven't had a chance to use it yet. But I have ordered from Vitacost before and have always found their products to be quality! Will continue to order from them. Thank you, Vitacost.😎

May not be HU58 the label doesn’t say
The product by Vitamatic, L-Subtilis is labeled as Subtilis, but there is no way to know if it is the HU58 strain or a genetically varied type. I would like a phone number on the label to call if I had questions.

Confusion over Strain, but still recommended
I ordered this because I wanted to make Dr Davis yogurt using as one of the ingredients. At the time I didn't realize that there were different strains of b. Subtilis. Since then I've heard conflicting information about what strain Davis uses: HU58 or DE11. Then I discovered that this product may not even be b Subtilis. I did make a lovely yogurt with it adding it to L. Reuteri. I emailed Vitamatic, and the response can be seen below. I've decided to continue using it because the strain they use is beneficial to gut health, and like I say the yogurt was absolutely delicious. Even my 11 year old granddaughter liked it and she normally hates yogurt. (Only give a child a couple of teaspoons due to the potential rise in oxytocin levels which may not be safe in an underdeveloped brain). Considering that Dr Davis seems to be still in the exploration and experimental phase of discovering the best strains, I'm not going to fret over the strain. Here is the reply from Vitamatic: Thank you for reaching out and for your patience while we clarify this matter. We understand there has been some confusion regarding the specific strain of Bacillus subtilis used in our product. We would like to confirm that the correct strain included in our Bacillus subtilis capsules is MB BSM12, not MBBCM9. MBBCM9 is a strain of Bacillus coagulans and is not used in this product. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we’re sorry for any earlier miscommunication. We’re also aware of the discussions and varying information found online, and we’re committed to providing transparent and accurate details about our formulations. If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to reach out. Warm regards, Team Vitamatic.

Sibo yogurt
First batch of sibo yogurt, turned out very sharp and bad taste, also had whey separation but not quite sure if the batch was successful due to odd smell too, had to throw it in the bin.

BE AWARE - IT'S NOT THE SUBTILIS STRAIN
People should know before purchasing, that this is not actually Bacillus Subtilis. The seller advised me that they use the MBBCM9 strain, which is actually a strain of Bacillus Coagulans - NOT Subtilis.
