Measuring 21 by 18.5 inches, it offers ample lounging space and mounts securely to standard 16-inch wall studs with included fixings. Crafted from durable layered plywood and featuring a removable, washable cotton canvas cushion, HALTO combines strength, style, and easy maintenance. Its minimalist design fits seamlessly into modern homes, freeing floor space while providing your cat a cozy elevated retreat. Replacement cushions extend product life, making HALTO a sustainable and stylish choice for multi-cat households and discerning cat parents. ## Description The 7 Ruby Road HALTO is a wall-mounted cat hammock and elevated cat bed where cats sleep, rest and lounge up off the floor. Made for large cats and every cat besides, it measures 21 inches wide and projects 18.5 inches from the wall and holds cats up to 35 lbs once screwed into your wall studs. It gives a Maine Coon, Ragdoll, Norwegian Forest or big cat genuine room to stretch out, and works just as well for kittens, senior cats, shy cats and multi-cat homes. Measure your wall space before ordering: this is a large, premium piece of furniture designed to give your cats maximum lounging room without cluttering your home. It mounts into the wooden studs behind your drywall, not the surface, so it holds firm and will not fall. It fits standard 16-inch stud spacing so use a stud finder before ordering to confirm your studs are 16 inches apart. The screws and wall fixings are included; you supply a drill, stud finder, level and tape measure. There are no climbing steps: most cats hop straight up from a nearby sofa, bed or windowsill, making HALTO a space-saving alternative to a bulky cat tree. The frame is furniture-grade layered plywood. The layered construction makes it stronger than solid wood or thin MDF options, so it resists bending and warping, and it has a low-odour finish. The padded cotton canvas cushion lifts off to hand wash cold and air dry; do not tumble dry, as heat can shrink it. When it is well-loved, order a fresh replacement cushion from our store and keep the same frame, reducing landfill waste. As space-saving cat wall furniture, HALTO frees your floor and suits a living room, bedroom, home office, studio or small apartment, in modern, Scandinavian and minimalist interiors. It works as a cat wall shelf for perching, napping and sleeping, and arrives in gift-ready packaging for a new-cat welcome, housewarming, Christmas or birthday. HALTO carries a patented design (US D994,994 S). Review: Great quality! - My cat absolutely loves this hammock. It is sturdy and well built. We have had the hammock installed for over 4 months and my cat uses it daily - as evidenced by the cat hair in the photos. Review: Gorgeous Hammock! My cat loves it! - Fabulous quality product! Sturdy and very modern and aesthetic on my wall. It’s a really decent size and would suit even a larger cat. The hammock is a thick, soft material and easily removable for washing. My cat loves it! ## Features - BUILT FOR THE CATS THAT NEED THE MOST ROOM – AND WORKS FOR TWO: Maine Coons, Ragdolls, the cats that drape off every bed they've ever been given – HALTO was made for them. At 21 inches wide by 18.5 inches deep, this wall mounted cat wall hammock for large cats gives them room to fully stretch, or two cats space to settle in side by side without negotiating. It is a proper wall mounted cat bed, not a narrow perch they have to balance on. The destination they return to every single day. - WHEN THE CUSHION WEARS OUT, REPLACE THE CUSHION. NOT THE WHOLE BED: Every cat wall bed gets destroyed. Hair, claws, washing. Most cat wall perch options mean replacing the whole unit when the cushion gives out. Not this cat bed wall mount. The padded cotton canvas cushion slips off in seconds – no zip, no fuss – and the whole cushion is hand washable. When washing is not enough a branded replacement is available from the 7 Ruby Road store. This cat shelf hammock is built to last for years. One frame. One fitting. Endless freshness. - BUILT TO HOLD YOUR HEAVIEST CAT – NOT JUST TO LOOK LIKE IT WILL: The layered plywood frame is rated to 35 lbs when installed into wall studs – not the thin-framed MDF alternatives sold at lower prices on the same page. Double-stitched canvas holds its shape through years of daily leaping and lounging. The wall mounted cat hammock design is protected by a valid US patent. When you are comparing HALTO to cheaper options, this is what you are not getting from them. - ONE WALL MOUNT CAT HAMMOCK FITTING, AROUND 20 MINUTES – AND IT LOOKS LIKE IT BELONGS THERE: HALTO mounts to a single pair of wall studs at standard US 16-inch spacing. In the box: frame, cushion, high-tensile stud wall fixings, printed instructions, and a video guide link. You will need a stud finder, drill, spirit level, and tape measure – none included. Stud wall required – not suitable for drywall. Warm plywood tones complement modern, Scandinavian, and minimalist interiors. One fitting. No ongoing maintenance. - THE RIGHT PIECE ON ITS OWN. THE FIRST PIECE OF SOMETHING BIGGER: HALTO works perfectly as a standalone piece – one elevated perch of cat wall furniture for large cats that gives them their own space without taking yours - cluttering your floor or your home. A cosy raised napping spot through winter, a cool elevated vantage through summer – used daily, year round. When you are ready, add SALTO climbing steps and further 7 Ruby Road pieces to build a full cat climbing wall over time. Arrives in premium gift-ready packaging for a considered gift for cat lovers. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0CCZR758B | | Assembly Instructions Description | Mounts into wall studs at standard 16-inch spacing - use a stud finder before ordering to confirm your studs are 16 inches apart. It screws through drywall into studs behind it to safely support a big cat. Designed for 16-inch stud spacing; please confirm before ordering. Hardware included; you'll need a drill, stud finder & level. **Q: Will it fit a large cat like a Maine Coon, and how far does it stick out?** A: Yes, at 21 inches wide it gives a Maine Coon, Ragdoll or sprawly cat real room to stretch out and settle. It does stick out about 18.5 inches from the wall, so it's a proper bed, not a ledge. Measure your spot first so you know how it will sit. **Q: It doesn’t come with steps β€” how will my cat get up to it?** A: Even without steps, most cats just hop straight up. Pop it near a sofa, bed or windowsill, and a little catnip on day one helps them claim it. Got a kitten or older cat? Mount it lower or beside furniture they use. **Q: Is the cushion washable, and can I replace it when it wears out?** A: Yes, the cushion slips off in seconds. Wash it by hand in cold water and lay it flat to dry; just don't tumble dry it, or the heat can shrink it. When you fancy a fresh one, replacement cushions are available to buy from our store. **Q: What is the frame made of, and how much weight can it hold?** A: The frame is furniture-grade layered plywood. The layered construction makes it stronger than solid wood or thin MDF, so it resists bending and warping, with a low-odour finish. Screwed into studs it holds cats up to 35 lbs. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great quality! *by A***Y on 29 December 2025* My cat absolutely loves this hammock. It is sturdy and well built. My cat loves it! *by M***D on 28 September 2025* Fabulous quality product! Sturdy and very modern and aesthetic on my wall. It’s a really decent size and would suit even a larger cat. The hammock is a thick, soft material and easily removable for washing. My cat loves it! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love, love, love! *by H***R on 17 June 2026* My cats love these beds- I've purchased two. They're easy to put together and durable. Only downside is I washed and dried one of the beds/hammocks and it did shrink some. It still fits on wall mount, but doesn't have as much of a hammock appearance. ## Frequently Bought Together - 7 Ruby Road Wall Mounted Cat Wall Hammock for Indoor Cats - Comfy Cat Wall Bed for Large Cats and Kitty - Sturdy Cat Perch Shelf for Cat Room or Addition to Cat Wall Furniture - FUKUMARU Cat Activity Tree with Scratching Posts, Wall Mounted Jute Scratcher Pine Hammock - 7 Ruby Road Cat Hammock Wall Mounted Cat Shelf with Two Steps - Cat Wall Shelves and Perches for Sleeping, Playing, Climbing, and Lounging - Modern Cat Bed & Furniture for Large Cats or Kitty --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.dk/products/607368301-cat-wall-hammock-for-large-cats-cat-wall-bed](https://www.desertcart.dk/products/607368301-cat-wall-hammock-for-large-cats-cat-wall-bed) --- *Product available on Desertcart Denmark* *Store origin: DK* *Last updated: 2026-11-04*
