I love this reformer. The tracks aren’t liquid smooth like at a studio (there’s one spot I can feel a slight bump but it’s honestly ignorable) and the carriage is narrower, but it’s all fully functional reformer for a fraction the price. I’m 5’8” and it’s plenty long enough for me to get full extension. I haven’t tried the jump board yet but I suspect it’s long enough for bouncing. The Velcro on the fuzzy strap covers is super annoying so I replaced with a set of double straps. I didn’t bother with the extra expense of the riser and so far I haven’t missed it.

I am not a fan of assembling things at all, and this was pretty easy to assemble using a combo of written instructions + the brief youtube video (the one showing just the highlights). However, this would be so much nicer with a manufacturer assembly video talking us through the main steps, that would have been very helpful. So far I've started with the basic instructional videos, which I definitely appreciate. The creator is clearly a very fit and kind person. However, the instruction quality leaves a lot to be desired. The model in the videos is her daughter and they tend to do more telepathic communicating vs. the instructor focusing on creating the session for the viewer who is brand new and trying to follow along. She cuts the second side short most of the time, and forgets to cue various movements a lot of the time (her daughter does it on her own because she's aware of what's supposed to be happening). But I would recommend to revamp the videos to be more focused on the audience at home, taking time to cue everything correctly and evenly on both sides. Other than that, I am happy I purchased this, and of course, there are many instructional resources available on YT and apps, beyond these DVDs. I was just a bit thrown off by this aspect. I am already seeing changes in my body with just a short time using this and I definitely enjoy the workouts, it's what I was hoping it would be. Customer support also answers the phone, which is nice.

I know everyone says that theses reviews are fake. I hope you can just believe me and trust this review! I have never wanted to write a review so badly and I usually don't! This is the GREATEST thing to happen to. me. I LOVE pilates- I loved going to the studio and I loved how I feel, how my back pain is less, how my posture is better, how my clothes fit due to the change in my body, my flexibility etc. Pilates is no doubt the greatest form of exercise. HOWEVER- With two jobs, two kids, pets, life, costs etc etc etc I never got to go the amount I wanted or needed and had to pause, unpause, and finally cancel my membership. This machine is the solution. I saw other great reviews first - which made me decide to give it a try. A friend put it together who said it was very easy to assemble.. The minute I got on it I could not believe my good luck. It was not quite as "smooth" as the professional reformers at the studio but so many things were the same including the tension in the cords, the movement, the ability to do all the exercises. I promised myself I would use it every day and I have. The only thing i will say is that I am pretty small- 5'2" and medium frame. I think if you were a larger frame and very tall it might be too small of a machine. I saw there were longer home reformers out there so don't give up the search. I also purchased better loops. the furry ones that come with it are "OK". but I like the double loop option so I picked that up. I also got a foam "box" . It is super light and works for almost all of the box exercises. This home reformer is a game changer for me. I highly recommend.

I don't know what some of these reviews are complaining about. I have always been active LOVE to exercise. I had an accident where many injuries kept me from doing things I loved. (Fully torn ACL for one) I wanted something that I could sweat really sweat doing as most cardio was now an issue. On a suggestion from ortho I ordered this. It's the best!. I started with the full intro DVD and basic workout, when done I was soaked loved it! I stayed on basic and stretch DVD until I got my routine and chord choices down for each type. After 2 weeks I could feel new muscle soreness (I LOVE THAT) my stature seemed elongated and more stable. My flow on machine became smoother and routine flowed. Somethings I needed to adjust positioning for limitations at first but slowly getting where I should be. My fav is the standing stretching, i.e. elephant and side legs. I am telling you this is a great machine. Cardio- once you get foot positions for your body I just put earbuds in and go! I did also got the neck pillow does make a difference.

Finally convinced to purchase after trying out with a friend. Great no-impact resistance training. Easy to use at your own comfort level. The mesh cardio rebounder is of no use to me, but the optional pull-up bar is fantastic. I put the u-bar at the foot end and the pull-up bar at the head. Remove the shoulder bumps when doing pull-ups. I do sets on my back and stomach with different hand positions. I do leg and other arm moves also, but the pull-up bar alone is worth it for me. Also upgrading the hand straps, as the fuzzy covers it came with are bad. I keep it in front of my tv, yet out of the way, and hop on regularly to try out moves with different resistances, and to stretch, push, and pull. Middle-aged female who engages in moderate to strenuous outdoor workouts several times a week. I use this equipment almost daily as a way to stretch, flex, and relax. Also a tip, I put self-stick furniture slides under the legs so I can easily slide it where I want across carpet and hard wood.

Such a magnificent machine! I’m 82 years old and I feel stronger and more flexible after only three workouts . So grateful to have this!

Update: return was picked up by UPS on Jan 09 - it's Feb 14 and I still don't have my refund. I've called and/or emailed Amazon on 4 separate occasions! I was a Pilates instructor for 27 years, teaching mainly on the Balanced Body machines, so I'm very familiar with the functionality of a good machine. Can't expect this Aeropilates machine to compare with higher-end one, still, this thing is awful! The tracks are slightly misaligned, so there are annoying bumps each time the carriage moves back and forth. Feels like there are pebbles on the tracks. The system of stretching a cord to increase resistance is a dismal failure. Watch your fingers with the heavier cords... they could really hurt you as you try to engage them. They're very uncomfortable to use - you need really strong fingers. Yup, fingers, not hands - you can't get your hand around the cords, so have to use three fingers and maneuver in a fiddly little space. My final beef is that you often need to adjust the length of the cables during a workout. With the Aeropilates system it’s a slow and fairly cumbersome process to adjust the cables. I'm returning the thing. It’s below subpar. I would not recommend it. Meantime, I've purchased a Total Gym Pro machine. Amazing - I love it. Update! My Aeropilates return was verified as having been received on 01/13 - still no refund, so I called customer service. In the reviews, I see that a buyer, Bev Miller, complained that she didn't have her refund after 7 days - Amazon issued the refund. I, on the other hand, encountered the rudest Amazon "supervisor" I've ever spoken to. Usually the Amazon reps are very polite - this one infuriated me as she became more and more aggressive. Bottom line... she would not issue the refund, even though she eventually admitted that the factory had received my refund. So why would she discriminate against me? No idea. I'll call again, and, hopefully get better service.
