These replaced another pair that had a too small unlock tab. These grip like crazy and are **EASY** to unlatch. And I didn’t even realize they are magnet (there are non-mag ones too), which is great - just slap it on the side of the rack during plate changes.

They have a good thin profile on the bar, after using a while they get easier to open/close. For the rack, it really is cool to have the magnets so they can be kept accessible and out of the way. I have a curling bar so I don’t switch the weight on it much, these collars keep the plates snug so they don’t rattle. For the rack where I need to unplate it often. The magnets make very easy to keep the collars in reach. Plain wire collars are fine, but these are definitely advantageous.
