Wbacon 7 in 1 External Blu Ray Drive, Support 100G Disc R/W Bluray Drive

Works good.

Useless garbage. I curse anyone who had a hand in its creation. I have wrestled with getting this thing to work for MONTHS and at BEST it can play 20% of the discs it comes across. Hours and hours of effort wasted trying to get ANY kind of basic functionality out of this thing. The cord is also stupidly short and none of the USB/SD card reading slots ever worked at all.

I recently purchased a Dell 15 inch laptop but it does not have a DVD drive, which I do need on occasion, and it is skimpy with just 3 USB and 1 Type C ports (most of the time it "acts" as a desktop with external keyboard, mouse, and monitor which take up 2 of its 3 USB ports. Thus, I have been in the market for an external DVD/CD drive and this 7 in 1 External Blu-ray Drive grabbed my attention with its impressive capabilities coupled with its 2 USB 3.0 ports, 2 Type C ports, 1 SD card slot, 1 TF card slot, so I decided to buy it. Set up took like 5 seconds - just plug into either a USB or a Type C port my laptop, and it was immediately recognized and ready for use. No drivers or anything else to install. I first put in an audio CD and it played the songs and I listened to the music over headphones connected to the USB 3.0 port on the player without having to use my last USB port on my laptop. Next I put in a wedding DVD and played MP4s and they looked great as I expected them to. My final test was to load software purchased on a DVD, namely TurboTax, because when I buy software, I prefer having it on a DVD versus a download. And that worked fine. This device has enormous capability with its Blue-ray 3D features and should perform well for anyone with those needs, but I do not presently have the need for those advanced features although I do like having that capability should the need ever arise. Bottom line, I'm very impressed with this 7 in 1 External Blu-ray Drive and believe it fills an important role next to my new laptop, and the price is VERY reasonable!

Good product, good cost, but best with a computer VS smart TV, most smart tv's won't recognize the system.

This thing keeps on chugging. I use it to rip audio CDs and I use the USB ports on the top. It has been great since I have owned it. Time will tell though.

It's hit or miss, this company appears to take older (by 10-20 years) dvd/blueray players and package them into a new case, with the 7 in 1 features. You may receive a pioneer branded drive (mine was BD-RW BDR-UD03D year - 2014) which are exceptional, they have quick read and write, low heat build up, and are plug and play. However, you could also receive the MATSHITA BD-MLT UJ260 drive instead, which is... In the name. With very slow speeds, reading often at only 2-3x on both DVD or blue ray, and ancient (mine was stamped 2006 on the hardware properties and had incorrect regional zoning that had to be fixed - a reason you may be unable to watch your movie) . If you notice, most all bad reviews are shown to be this variant and I would suspect that all the positive reviews may be from the pioneer branded drives. There may be more repurposed drives in the lineup but this was my experience and seems to parallel many of the other reviews. Expect to play the lottery to try to get the (a) good one, and send back if you can't, since that MATSHITA one is sufficient in only the most minimally acceptable criteria.

Good solid and reliable

Received a generic drive, with no company labels or serial numbers, that was barely functional. Could read 1 in 10 discs that I put into it, and even then, sometimes required multiple attempts opening and closing the door. Wasted a lot of time trying to figure out if it was my discs or the drive - it's the drive. Cheap junk.

It is Blue Ray Drive but unable to run 3D Movies though my Sony TV & Video software is compatible to run 3D Movies.

I think I bought something that is a little over my head. I was glad I found my old one when I was trying to file this one in the rt place. If you are just average or slightly less with computers, DO NOT BUY.

Comprei um desses, gastei mais uma grana em um tubo com 50 BD-R Verbatim graváveis, e ficou guardado na gaveta por um tempo. Depois de gravar uns 4 discos Bluray ele simplesmente parou de funcionar. Eu ligo, ele acende, mas o Sistema não reconhece o drive. Já tentei em Windows, Linux, e com várias combinações diferentes de cabos USB e nada. Foi uma grana jogada fora. PS.: Paguei mais ou menos 450 em Maio de 2024, não gaste muito mais que isso pois me parece que são frágeis demais.

The Blu-ray player is unable to read any of my Blu-ray and DVD discs. I tried everything to troubleshoot the issue but this issue still persists.
