Small but powerful
This connector does what is expected and is quite rare as it is durable and only as big as an in-line adapter, not a desk adapter; it is also unidirectional (can send a signal from or to the same end of the connector, meaning that it can be used on many more installations than other overpriced mono-directional units. This connector therefore, can be rotated to satisfy gender connectivity without fear of signal direction failure. Connector is also able to carry signals upto 4K, this is a connector worthy of holding a few ‘just in case’. Remote power input is required via the supplied USB A: mini USB power connector - although some systems will provide sufficient current to operate without the power connector altogether. The picture is exceptional and uninterrupted by local magnetic splats caused by other technology. Functionality is seamless AS LONG AS you adhere to the essential initial HDMI signal transmission protocol, feeding from source to display with regards to both powering up and signal connection. Any mid-point connection or connection break whilst transmitting usually will cause the HDMI signal to not reconnect without a complete shutdown and restart (it’s all about digital ‘handshakes’). For some peripherals, unbelievably it can take hours for the reset - it is an HDMI protocol matter and nothing to do with loose connections or poor connectivity. It is one of the most unknown and massive frustrations or reasons to return goods as faulty when they are not. It is just an HDMI non-linear plug-up fail - read the HDMI international specifications - it’s written as a known reaction.

Unidirectional DisplayPort Adaptor
This is to convert the HDMI output of a computer or set-top box to the DisplayPort Input of the Monitor. Since it is unidirectional, it will NOT convert the DisplayPort output of a computer or set-top-box into HDMI. Unless my information is out of date, most standard TVs don't have a DisplayPort input, but monitors (especially gaming monitors) do have them. All current monitors have HDMI input. So, the use-case scenario for this adaptor is somewhat narrow and unusual... Why would you want to convert an HDMI signal to a DisplayPort, when most (if not all) TVs and monitors have HDMI inputs? The answer might be if the monitor has HDMI inputs, but you have used all of them up, and you want to input another video signal, and the only spare input on the monitor is the DisplayPort. You won't gain any extra quality or resolution by converting the signal to DisplayPort. The specs claim conversion of signals up to 4K at 60Hz, or 1080p at 120Hz. It also needs a 5V 1A power input... They provide a Micro USB cable, but no USB charger socket.

Does exactly what I bought it for fixing my windows hdmi port issues
My asus rog gl552vw laptop's hdmi port fits the hdmi male part of this product perfectly. It's female DP port fits my DP cable that connects with samsung ultrawide monitor. Earlier I had constant connection issues and flickering issues on my windows 10 laptop with hdmi cables, However using this adapter, my laptop can connect to external screen flawlessly. I don't need multiple hdmi cables anymore and my laptop's lid can stay down while I work on PIP mode, half connects to personal asus and other half connects to work macbook pro.

No connection - does not work
This seems to be a dummy piece of plastic with connectors - there is no functional evidence of any connecting electronics inside - a complete dud.

This works great and was a great value. I use this on the back of my PS5 to hook up to a monitor and has been flawless for the last few months. I was able to plug the USB straight into the back of the PS5 for power and have had zero issues with 4K 60 Hz.

Atendeu às minhas necessidades.

This a a handy little adapter. Note: This is a one way adapter - source must be HDMI and monitor DisplayPort. If the PC has a display port connection and you are trying to use an HDMI monitor, you need a different unit - this one will not work. Overall, this is a compact adapter that will work as intended. I have two of them, so I can recommend this item.
