Seems good so far. Works great for my kids crayfish. For crayfish, amphibians and for temporary turtle situations I don't see anything wrong with it yet. Seems to do its job to airate and clean. Also very quiet and love that you can adjust the strength of it. The only thing I would add is that make sure your tank cover is escape proof if using for a crayfish because they can climb just about anything up and out of a tank. However, it helps that the intake on this product is low on it and the sides dont have anything grippy for a crayfish to climb. Also a plus for the product. So 5 stars for crayfish 😅

Usually skeptical of negative reviews as 9/10 times it's user error other then getting defective products out of the box and in which case I've only ever had to return 1 item in 5 years due to such circumstance. That being said this filter really does pump really well! only using it in 3" of water for a 30 gallon salamander tank and it does the job, Rinse the filter 1x a week and no issues so far. Only thing negative to say is the filters don't have any actual carbon just a mesh and balls. Seems you can also use other filters for this just have to adjust water to flow slower.

It works well and isn’t too powerful. I have aquatic plants in my turtle tank including water lettuce and duckweed. I also have small fish and ghost shrimp so I didn’t want a filter that would blast the plants underwater and suck up the tiny fish and shrimp. This works perfectly because the flow is adjustable. I have it on one end of a 20 gallon long aquarium. The tank is 2/3 full with a basking shelf made of rocks. I put rocks under the spillway to disperse the flow and it works great. It’s quiet and does a great job keeping the water clean. It was super easy to set up and the price was right. It sticks to the glass with zero issues. A great product overall.

Filter work fine but haven’t been able to find replacement filters since purchasing a year ago. Might have to buy a whole new system because of that.
