Calisthenics, Mobility, and Weight loss/Muscle loss Prevention Tool that is great!
I have owned this product for almost 5.5 years. It is not the most used product in my inventory, but for Calisthenics, Mobility, and Weight loss/Muscle loss Prevention Tool it is great! For Calisthenics, this device gives you the ability to load any movement. Many of the other weight west that I own, or have used limit your movement in some way (bulky, floppy, obnoxious, etc. I can wear this under a shirt at the gym and it is minimally noticeable. I have worn it for weeks at a time under my daily clothes and no one notices, especially in the winter 😊. Due to the tight nature of the product advanced movements or training to advanced movements where body to surface or limb to body clearance is needed the weight is not in the way and never shifts. This allows you to confidently and incremental load progressive steps to achieve your Calisthenic and Mobility goals. For users who are looking to Manage their muscle loss during a cut or hard dieting, I find this vest allows me to “load as I lose”. Let me explain, I seasonally fluctuate training and eating habits, so my weight can move around 15- 20lbs a year. If I can do 5-6 anytime pull ups at 195lbs then at 170-175 I know my body on the ground in advanced movements get easy, pull ups get easy and much bigger sets, too. Applying the vest to your routine reminds you what its like and where you truly are. Another method I use Involves loading the vest incrementally in a cut back to my start weight. This helps me to keep the stimulus the same or increasing, instead of a decreasing load as bodyweight is lost in a cut. On the flip side in a bulk loading this to the max helps until it gets tight 😊. On that note I bought a medium and It fits well when thin, but when fluffy a large would be better. As far a quality is concerned it has been a great product, only shows normal wear and expected material wear. The biggest cons are Loading/Unloading weight, Cost, Adjustability. I try to always wear some type of undershirt under the vest. I have worn it with and it is do able, but any extended high energy session (long runs, burpees, etc.) and you might notice some chaffing. The other problem is cleaning, you cant just chunk it in the washer. Loading and Unloading the weights is necessary for a machine wash and is a time consuming process, but once you get in a rhythm its not that bad. The little weight tool works great as long as you have it…. You can insert and remove without it though. • I have rinsed and cleaned the vest without removing the weights but find the material tends to get stiffer (not hard just not soft). Even after this a machine wash softens it up and works great. This product was much less when I purchased it in 2020, although it was one of the most expensive. Another thought on Cost was the fixed size of the vest. I understand that the product needs to be in spec to accomplish the job it is doing. Just wish for more adjustability in the product. I like the product enough when skinny to really enjoy it, but at that price point can not justify a second one for fluffy times of the year.

A wonderful upgrade to what I had! Expensive, so do a little due diligence and you'll love it!
I have now had this vest for over 2 months. I didn't know if I would use a weight vest consistently, so prior to this one I decided to try the Tone fitness one at 8lbs. That one goes over the head and sits at the waist, and I liked it a lot (some may not like the weight on the clavicle area though). Since that one is static weight, I decided to try this one once I decided I enjoyed using a weight vest. I liked that it used metal weights and was adjustable. I previously bought the Pro version via "used" on Amazon but when I got it it already had some tiny holes in it. I decided to fork out the money for the pro version and it feels MUCH more durable. I didn't get the other one they have designed for women because the weights are in 2.5 increments and are sand, as well as not as distributed over the torso/back - but that one did look nice at half the price. At the time of purchase, I was 156 lbs, 5'4", size 10/12 (woman) with a short torso. I got a medium and it fit with about 2-3 inches of cord. Its very compressive, which is great because I have shoulder pain and I noticed the weight didn't sit at my shoulders at all but very evenly distributed. No issue with the clip on the cord moving as older reviews state; the clip has been changed and is not the same as the picture. It doesn't budge. The logo is also white, not orange. 10 lbs is a nice weight for walking - it actually comes in closer to 11 lbs. I am not washing the vest, as taking and reinserting the weights would be tedious. I like that this is likely the last vest I will ever buy - as I get older, I can take weight out as needed. The packaging is pretty cheap - just a plain cardboard box, but I guess they save money on packaging. No hot spots on the best, but your mileage will vary depending on your body shape (and how it changes). I thought the corners in the armpit area would be annoying, but it's been fine. I wear it with a workout tank underneath for my walks. All in all, for durability, flexibility of weights, weight distribution, and value for those things,I think this is the best weight vest out there. I looked at others that seemed much cuter, but they were only a static 5lbs (and pricier!) and that wasn't going to cut it for me.

EXPENSIVE BUT WORTH IT IN THE LONG RUN
Overall Impression: This weight vest has a very unique design in that it is very form fitting and can be pretty snug. As a result, by design it moves very little if at all during walking and a little bit when running. Even though it is tight across the chest, it doesn’t restrict breathing because of the expandable side cords. I have owned several weight vests and this is by far the best and most comfortable available that I have tried. Specifically, it doesn’t weigh your shoulders down and make you fight against it causing shoulder/neck fatigue which means you can wear it for longer periods of time. Yes, it is very expensive, but after trying several vests for comfort you end up spending the same amount for less-than-optimal multipl other products. The total weight limit is 20 pounds and that may be significantly less than some other vests, but you can walk up and down hills and that 20 pounds is no longer easy. This is clearly the best vest I own and wish I had just bought it up front without trying other vests. Pros: -form fitting and doesn’t move much during exercise -expands as you breathe -variable weight capacity up to 20 pounds -slim design and can wear a slightly larger shirt or seat shirt over it -can alter its fit if you gain or lose weight a little bit Cons: -expensive -a bit fiddly adding extra weight especially when doubling up for each pocket -weight pockets are a bit small with two weights per pocket -after putting in 10 pounds or more, the seams around the head/shoulder openings will dig into you -be prepared for skin impressions from the cords and weights that will dissipate over a short time because of the tight fit (I added seat belt lambs wool around the shoulders: it helps -the weight is distributed evenly over your chest and back and as a result ends up being very comfortable and doesn’t tend to “swing” around your neck/shoulders (not top heavy) Company Recommendations (I doubt they will read this but anyway) -expand the weight pockets just a few millimeters for easier access without causing excess slop -add a double roll with foam around the edges for shoulder/armpit areas (not too thick just a bit) -consider adding lead weights as an option to gain a few more pounds

High Quality, Slim Fit, Comfortable, Happy So Far
THE GOOD: I've tried numerous vests and this is the best fitting, most comfortable by far. It fits like a vest and the weights are tiny and well distributed so it's not bulky. This ensures a snug fit that won't shift around on a walk/run/hike/workout. WATCH THE SIZING: It is VERY slim fitting. I'm a 6'2", 185 lb athlete with a 32-33" waist and got a Large based on their size chart. the L fits me but I had to loosen it nearly all the way for it to fit my chest/back to zip it up. THE BAD: Expensive, but worth it so far. Not Modular: Can't really add more weight -- so 20 lbs is the limit. For heavier vest workouts I'm going to get one of the plate systems, but they suck for hiking/walking/running IMO. Enjoy

Worth the Money!
I did a lot of research before getting this vest, and I was a bit worried about the cost. But I decided I didn't want to get turned off to weighted vests by something that was not very nice. I'm glad I went for it since I really like it. I actually want to walk more than I did before getting it. Maybe it's the novelty of something new, but I feel like I get a good workout when normal walking is just a walk. So far, I've worn it for hiking, walking outside, and walking on a treadmill with just 10 pounds. I plan to add on weight and, eventually, use it for running, too. I was between sizes, so I sized up to a medium. I could have done the small in terms of length since I am short-waisted. One nice thing about the medium is that it can go up to 20 pounds, and I don't think the small can. I do not get tired shoulders from this vest as the weight feels distributed across my torso and hips. I wore it once with just a sports bra underneath, and I did get some rub on my lower ribs, so I do recommend having something covering underneath it to avoid chafing. In all, no regrets! I am loving this vest!

I don’t like to go walking WITHOUT it.
Love it. I am 5.5, 140lb bought a size medium. I started walking with it at 7lb and gradually added weight. I love that it clings to my body and the weight is not just on my shoulders. I like that it is adjustable in fit as well as adjustable in weight. I won’t have to buy a whole new vest when I want a heavier one. Because of that, it is worth the price. It seems very well made. I have had mine for about 4 months with no wear issues. In backpacking we always emphasis not carrying all the weight on your shoulders. The weighted vest that just have weight on the shoulders look miserable to me. That is why I went with this option. Highly recommend this vest.

Best Vest out of Many I tried for Comfort - Well Made
This is the best vest I have ever used out of many. I like that it is low profile, and feels natural on my body. The even weight distribution takes off alot of the discomfort and pressure points I find as a problem in most other vests that discourages me from exercising with it.. This vest also has virtually no smell, and is made out of non-toxic nylon. No off-gassing. The weights are made of steel, and have no odor too. Zero toxic smell, which is what I love, but have a hard time finding in any other weighted vest. If it's not the discomfort of weights bouncing around or pushing in all the sensitive body parts, some other vests tend to have flaws such as: being filled with metal sand, so to prevent rust, the company soaked it some toxic anti-rust oil, which gives it a strong smell, that stays for a very long time. That is why I choose this vest, because it's not bad for my health. While this does feel much more comfortable than any other vest due to even weight distribution, I feel that they should include some thicker padding for the areas near the top of the shoulder, near the neck area that hold most of the pressure. If you wear it a long time, you can feel the pressure add up in your Trapezius muscle. So what I did to work around that is buy this shoulder pad for $10, and used it with it. That fixed the problem. TEHOKARM 2 Pack Tactical Shoulder Strap Pad Vest Shoulder Strap Pads Also, I am male 5,9, 170lbs, and normally can wear a medium T-shirt, but the Medium is way too tiny for me, since I have a strong back and wide shoulders. The Large did fit better, but I still feel that it should be a bit wider, so hopefully the Xtra-Large will fix the problem. They size these pretty tight, so go up a normal size if you are a male, especially since they labeled these as Uni-Sex. I think if they include thicker back-pack padded straps around the shoulder area, this would be the most awesome vest ever. For now, I have to do a generic hack by buying the: TEHOKARM 2 Pack Tactical Shoulder Strap Pad Vest Shoulder Strap Pads, and inserting them. Would prefer built in thick pads. Overall, I don't think a better vest exists for comfort, even if it's just a tiny bit uncomfortable near the traps area, and if they added more padding to the shoulder strap area, they would be miles ahead of the competition. For someone wearing it all day long, that is a must.

A+ comfort and versatility
First time user review here. No pulling or digging into shoulders. Weight is perfectly distributed throughout your torso front and back. For me, the side laces are superb. I can get it as tight as i need. Walked 4 miles for its first wear and it remained comfortable throughout. I bought the Medium 20lb. Came loaded 10—and 2 boxes of 2.25 oz weight bars to incrementally add weight. I’m happy that this vest will work long-term ie. I won’t require multiple vests of varying static-weight as i progress; i can adjust the fit pretty drastically with the cords depending on if i wear it close to the body, or over thicker clothes. I tried another brands $50 15# harness-type vest and hated it. Couldn’t tighten it enough across the chest with the size adjustments clips it had so the weight was carried only on the shoulders. I ended up being mad the whole time i wore it. The design overall of this Hyperwear vest is far superior to the stuffed harness-type. If you’re committed to the health benefits of weight bearing exercise & movement i would invest in this one. The comfort alone will make you stick to it,,,and that’s the whole point.

Brilliant product. I could not buy the weights though, so a bit disappointing not to be able to scale up in weight.

It's proving to be a useful tool to have added to my repertoire
I love this vest. I did my research beforehand and looked at quite a number of different ones and although this was proving to be the most expensive, it had some legitimacy to be so: The material is tough, the quality of construction is excellent, the design has obviously been tried, tested and improved upon to produce an excellent fit and function. It's major advantages over almost all the others vests is the webbing fit at the sides and the tiny weights. It allows for perfect distribution and balance, progression and comfort. There's a tool (a slip of metal) that comes with it that allows you to put the weights in and out with ease. The final clincher for me was that Iron Wolf (a US marine from youtube) uses it repeatedly in his training. I respect his work and ethic, so if it's good enough for him to not only use, but go back to repeatedly, then it's good enough for me. On average I'll use it 2 or 3 times a week. It's stood up magnificently. This has been made to last. What it's done for my training is early days, but it is all positive so far. Whereas I'd give most gear purchases or training adjustments like a 1% improvement to performance, I've found a weighted vest may be something like 5-10%. I think it will certainly help me achieve progress over the next year as I push and consolidate the improvements. And because of the design, I'm not limited by what exercises I can do whilst wearing it - I can still do floor exercises (without the vest or weight digging in to me), twisting, flexibility, weights, cardio etc. They are all still doable whilst maintaining balance and control. Yes it's expensive, but for me it's proven a worthwhile and excellent purchase from a company that obviously cares about what they produce and how they treat their customers. These are important qualities to appreciate.

The Best Vest!
If you're looking for a weighed vest to exercise, look no further. We did a lot of research into vests and these have to be the best fit, easy to use, easy to adjust and the fit really helps you keep it on for as long as your workout is without getting annoyed with the shoulder coming off or velcro tapes undoing themselves. It is absolutely brilliant. Watch youtube for recommended physio exercises with this vest. A great investment for our health. We have to thank the physiotherapist on youtube that recommends this - she is 100% correct. Many thanks!

Really good quality, stylish weighted vest
This is a really well made beautiful product. Unfortunately I opted for the small size when I should probable have gone for the medium. It arrived from Holland (I think) so rather than return it - it is pretty heavy - I ordered more shock cord and replaced the side laces. This worked perfectly and if I ever lose enough weight I can always put the original final laces back again. It fits snugly and is very comfortable to wear. For me it’s much better than wearing a back pack because of how closely it fits my body and it doesn’t move around. It was quite expensive but it’s very well made and it’s what I was needing so it’s worth it. I’m still building up on the number of weights I’m adding to it but it’s good. The best part of exercising with it is taking it off is so I’m sure it’s doing what it’s meant to.
