STANLEY Drive Socket Set, 123-Piece, Black (STMT71652)

I gave this set of tools as a grooms gift. I never saw it, but Stanley makes good stuff, so I hope he’s getting good use out of it.

This is the second time I've purchased this set, this time as a gift for my brother. The quality of these tools is amazing. The case is what sold me the most. I hate having to use friend's socket sets now because their case has failed and the sockets are loose or unorganized. This case securely holds each tool, each socket, each adapter firmly in place for quick and easy use.At this price, you can't beat the combination of a sturdy, well-organized case, and top-notch tools.

I use Stanley tools almost on a daily basis for auto related work and am very happy with their products. The ratchets don't feel sloppy like other name brand ratchets and I've never broken one like I have others. Another thing that I like, but can be a pain is that the sockets stay in their case tightly. It keeps them organized when opening and closing the case but they can be a pain to get out of their slot. All in all the best socket sets I've found for the money!

Love Stanley tools. Strong and durable

Sockets and Wrenches appear to be of high quality in regards to material and construction. Having gone through my fair share of Socket sets in my day, I anticipate this set to still be in service for several years to come. However, I had to detract one star because the case is molded in a such a way that removing and replacing the sockets it VERY hard. You have to pry each one out with a tool of some sort and apply a fair amount of force in the process. Replacing them is equally problematic. I assume this was an intentional implement during the design process in attempts to prevent the items from coming loose during shipment and user transport, but I think they erred a little to far on the side of precaution in this particular regard. For those who plan to only use the set on a very casual basis, this might not be such a big problem. If you are using these on a regular or daily basis, you most certainly feel my pain. Otherwise, this is a great set and priced very well for the quality of the tools received.

A perfect started set for any DIY'er looking to do their own maintenance or repairs.

I have the set with the black parts and I've used it for many years. It's been great. Wife lost the 1/4" wrench and one of the sockets and I HATE an incomplete set. So I bought this just recently and of course a week later found the missing pieces out in the dirt next to wife's project. cleaned it up and put in back in the case. now my wife has her own set and I keep mine hidden away!
