I'm a bit late reviewing this, as it's nearly February and I got this for last Summer! However, having used it during the summer months I can report back that it worked well and I'm talking as someone who can wake up to nasty mosquito bites, so I was very pleased.

the citronella scent emanating from the plastic vented tube takes about a week to be effective, it has stopped about 70per cent of flies bugs i would say , it certainly helps, i have had a lot less trouble with flies especially, so i am very pleased , would recommend

Used this in Sri Lanka, can’t say 100% it worked in our hotel rooms but didn’t get bitten much. Only on the last evening, maybe it had ran out by day 10. Used it with also citronella body oils.

Purchased 2. One for inside other for outside. The one placed upside seems to work well at full exposure. The one outside doesn't work at all and dried out in a day - so not all that impressed

Was really looking forward to getting these as I’d purchased two of them and it’s the biggest waste of money ever! I really want my money back because it’s false advertising. Has scent, which I don’t particularly want, and that’s where it ends:/ The flies were swarming around it and sitting on it! Easy to use but doesn’t work… Pointless! Just more unnecessary environmental landfill, without a purpose:/ Smell is tolerable. Sturdiness? I’ve only knocked it over once so far.

Seemed to work well. I didn`t get half as many bites as usual. I did combine with mozzie sprays, cream etc so covering all eventualities and it seemed to work as I only got a couple of bites which is fantastic for me!

This was a total waste of time. I only opened it slightly as instructed, but there was no smell of anything, so I opened about half an inch. Nothing! It did not keep away any sort of flying insect, so I opened fully to see if that help. No difference. I even put some citronella oil on the wick in the middle and that helped a bit, but the product is useless. Don't waste your money!

This appears to keep the insects at bay with no overpowering smell. You just unscrew it & place where needed. You need to replace it every 2 months.

Kept flies away at the park picnic. I used it with an insect fan though.

The fragrance was there, but the mosquitoes remained and seemed to like it as well. Did not fully serve its purpose
