ConBee III - Universal Zigbee USB Gateway

Great zigbee dingle for home assistant. Had a phoscon ii but reallocated that to a thread border router. The phoscon III works great in conjunction with ZHA in home assistant

Initially when this product was in it's early stages it was almost entirely useless. End point devices would constantly drop off and it would burn through their batteries after a couple of days. It also irreparably broke three Aqara sensors. So I stuck it on the shelf. After the firmware updates in April it finally became not just useable, but considerably more stable than my Conbee ii with deCONZ and Home Assistant. I have a large network of some 140 devices - about 50/50 routing and end-point and they never drop. Very impressive. A big thing that needs improving is the firmware update process, which requires Windows Linux and programming knowledge. Considering how critical these updates were, this is a big issue. A big button that says 'update firmware' is all that should be needed. UX isn't the strong suit of most IOT companies and it limits this sort of thing to people with a certain type of brain/disposition, which is a shame as people should be able to get creative with IOT devices without having to understand YAML or whatever else. That stuff should happen under the hood so people can get stuff done, Apple style IMHO.

Zigbee2Mqtt ile sorunsuz çalışıyor kurulumunu yapmam 5 dakikamı aldı. Öncesinde CC2531 kullanıyordum en yakındaki cihazla bile 60-70LQI değeri alırken bunu kurduktan sonra en uzaktaki 10-15LQI çeken cihazım 190LQI değerleri vermeye başladı. Şu an için gayet memnunum tavsiye ederim.

Hatte vorher an HomeAssistant einen Sonoff Stick, der jetzt nicht wesentlich günstiger war. Dann in nem Sale den ConBee mitgenommen, weil von Kollegen empfohlen und immer mehr unzufrieden mit dem Sonoff.. was soll ich sagen, läuft. Sonoff war ab 47 Geräten (keine Ahnung warum genau diese magische Grenze) schlicht überfordert. Das 48 Gerät flog immer wieder raus, teilweise meldeten sich irgendwann Geräte gar nicht mehr und die Schaltzeiten waren ebenfalls immer wieder mal ein Problem. Dann schnell auf den ConBee III in HomeAssistant migriert und plötzlich läuft mal alles so wie es soll. Kaum Ausfälle mehr, ich musste seit dem genau 1 Gerät einmal neu Verbinden und die Schaltzeiten, wie auch die Stabilität sind auf nem anderen Level. Schönes Ding.. so macht das SmartHome spaß.

Abbinato a home assistant su VM gira alla grande e senza il minimo problema, ottimo range di copertura, nessun problema di compatibilità con dispositivi di diverse marche e anche alcuni autocostruiti.

Conbee3 met verlengkabel op usb2 aansluiten. (oude adapter laten zitten). Home assistant herstarten, conbee3 wordt automatisch herkent en migratie proces start ook automatisch. Volg de instructies.

I bought this for use with Home Assistant on my Raspberry Pi 3 and it has been working flawlessly with my IKEA bulbs. It was easy to use as well, practically plug and play.
