ConBee III - Universal Zigbee USB Gateway

Great zigbee dingle for home assistant. Had a phoscon ii but reallocated that to a thread border router. The phoscon III works great in conjunction with ZHA in home assistant

Initially when this product was in it's early stages it was almost entirely useless. End point devices would constantly drop off and it would burn through their batteries after a couple of days. It also irreparably broke three Aqara sensors. So I stuck it on the shelf. After the firmware updates in April it finally became not just useable, but considerably more stable than my Conbee ii with deCONZ and Home Assistant. I have a large network of some 140 devices - about 50/50 routing and end-point and they never drop. Very impressive. A big thing that needs improving is the firmware update process, which requires Windows Linux and programming knowledge. Considering how critical these updates were, this is a big issue. A big button that says 'update firmware' is all that should be needed. UX isn't the strong suit of most IOT companies and it limits this sort of thing to people with a certain type of brain/disposition, which is a shame as people should be able to get creative with IOT devices without having to understand YAML or whatever else. That stuff should happen under the hood so people can get stuff done, Apple style IMHO.

Zigbee2Mqtt ile sorunsuz çalışıyor kurulumunu yapmam 5 dakikamı aldı. Öncesinde CC2531 kullanıyordum en yakındaki cihazla bile 60-70LQI değeri alırken bunu kurduktan sonra en uzaktaki 10-15LQI çeken cihazım 190LQI değerleri vermeye başladı. Şu an için gayet memnunum tavsiye ederim.

Ursprünglich hatte ich mir einen Sonoff Zigbee USB-Dongle als Einstieg ins Zigbee-Netzwerk angeschafft. Leider lagen die Signalstärken damit weit hinter meinen Erwartungen zurück. Mit dem ConBee III sieht das ganz anders aus. Die Einrichtung in ioBroker war unkompliziert und der Dongle wurde sofort erkannt. Meinen ursprünglichen Dongle hatte ich im Keller installiert, umgeben von dicken Betonwänden. Dass das Signal dort nicht sonderlich stark sein würde, war mir klar. Obwohl der alte Dongle eine externe Antenne besaß, war nach wenigen Metern Schluss. Aufgrund einer Amazon-Bewertung, in der beschrieben wurde, dass der ConBee III auch durch dicke Betonwände zuverlässig funktioniert, wollte ich den Versuch ebenfalls wagen. Ich war mehr als überrascht: Selbst durch die dicken Wände hatte ich im 1. Obergeschoss noch Werte weit über 150. Und das obwohl der ConBee III keine externe Antenne besitzt. Das hat mich wirklich begeistert. Für mich war der ConBee III definitiv die richtige Wahl. Zwar ist er im Vergleich zum Sonoff-Dongle teurer, aber meiner Meinung nach ist er den Preis absolut wert.
