Moondrop CHU II DSP Headphones High Performance Dynamic Driver USB-C in-Ear Monitors Type-C with Microphone Earphone

After own these Moondrop chu 2 for 2 years I can say these already the best iems for the price on the market. The metal mat on the buds feels weighted, the style is minimalist but elegant with the gold outlines, the small leather pouch compliments the look of the gray, black & gold look while have an carry-on case included. While the bass isn't on the same level of ling's Zero 2 (which I'd argue are the best for EDM). The Chu 2 focus on heavily on acoustic performance that are rock, vocals & performance based music that feels organic. My one regret but this being a blessing For casual listener is getting the Type C cord instead of Aux. since the modularity factor was hindered & going to arcades which only offer aux port was the downside. The same with people who have older IPhones with lighting ports. however the direct connection with TYPE C it is super stable & the plug & play ease makes for extremely high quality audio without any technical knowledge or adapters. Strongly recommend them or the other CHU iems as they're the kings of entry-level IEMs

They blew my Galaxy Buds 4 pro out of the water for almost a tenth of the price. If listening to music on $80 headphones is like watching a movie on your phone, then listening on galaxy buds 4 pro is like watching a movie on a nice TV. But these Chu 2s are like being there on set in real life. Unbelievable. Bass, treble, clarity, hearing different layers of harmonies and many details in every single song that I could not hear on my flagship Bluetooth earbuds. Cord length is good. Look pretty good. I have very small ears, and these fit nicely and don't create excessive pressure or pain points like my galaxy buds bulkier frame does. If in doubt or if you haven't bought iems before, give these a try.

First and foremost let me start by saying sound quality is superb for this price point. Treble isnt sharp but still manages to extract great detail. Mids are a bit recessed but nothing to truly complain about, id consider this part a bit recessed Bass section is clean and clear. Lacks a bit of punxh however this is perfect for me as these are geared towards audiophiles like myself. Build Quality is solid! Comfort is good enough for my ears. Must play with plugs to ensure properfitment and sound quality. Design is good Fit is good. The one gripe i have is the cable that come with looks decent (I got the DSP usb type c with mic version which i am truly enjoy for this price) however the ear part doesnt truly flex to stay in place BUT its a small sacrifice that i think anyone should take on these. Mic quality is good, not complaining. Overall I love these , blind buy IMO. You wont be dissapointed.

So. These iems have been a rollercoaster. The first set I ordered arrived and had clearly been used. Like still full of someone’s earwax and half the stuff was missing from the box. In Amazon’s defense, they immediately replaced them and very quickly sent me an actually new set. I was very surprised at the sound quality for how cheap they were! Very clear, and the upper end lacked that tinny element you get with some cheaper headphones. There isn’t much in the way of bass but I expected that. With the smaller silicons buds they fit my tiny ears perfectly, which is often my biggest issue with in ear headphones, and are pretty comfortable for a few hours. I bought these mostly as a back up to wear when I want long hours of music without constantly trading out my AirPods or (when I forget to charge them) so I honestly having been using them much. I saw people mention issues with the cord breaking so I was careful to keep them in the case when not in use and not wind them tightly. With all that said, these probably have less than 20 hours of play time on them and when I put them in this evening I discovered there is a near constant crackle and any person singing or speaking sounds like they have been sucking a helium balloon, which while funny as heck is not what I’m looking for in my listening experience long term. Now, I’m not sure if this is an issue with the cord or the iems themselves. I’m leaving a second star in the hopes that if I replace the cord the issue will clear up. Otherwise these are absolutely not worth the money. Edit: the roller coaster continues. I just plugged these in again to show my bf the funny helium thing and now it’s not doing it. Upping to 3 stars while staring at my headphones suspiciously… will update if they stop working again, or if they don’t!

Updated from 1 star to 4 stars! (Great Customer Support) I contacted the rep through email. They were able to send me a replacement for the defectice earbud. The sound are amazing in compared to my previous earphone plug-in from Senheiser. (Previous Comment) Sounds is great, but on the third day using it, the right earbud is dead (no sound). Tried troubleshooting (re-plug both the usb c cable and swapped plug between the L/R). Should have read more review on these. Seems like lots of others customer are having the same problem where the earbud short span usage.

Edit 5/1/25: The right earbud cracked exactly 6 months after purchase - Even the earpods from apple usually last 1 year before replacing....so looks like im going back to those. Image included below. I was NOT sure how I'd like the whole "wrap the cord around your ear" thing. However, it's great! They never come loose. If you use your phone in bed and lay on your ears, these are not for you, sadly. I wish I could do that. The sound quality was...different. I liked going back to my cheap EarPods to test the sound difference and I liked the EarPods slightly more. Would I get it again when these earbuds die? Nah, I'll try something else. But these are cheap and might be suitable for you. I don't like the ones that go IN the ear canal, I usually like the ones that sit outside of the canal. Cons: They open your earholes a bit and it can get waxy/feel wet if you have them on too long or exercise with them on.

Works well. Possible a bit too well. Have to turn down the volume often.

This is the 2nd iteration of the much loved Chu I that I have enjoyed as a great bargain earphone set. There are some nice quality upgrades to the ergonomics such as looping ear cables, better carrying case, and braided cord with removable connection to the earpiece. The USBC connector might be considered an upgrade if your phone/device doesn't have a AUX feature, but otherwise this just means I can't charge and play at the same time now, so I'll call it neutral. The audio itself is not an actual upgrade as any glance at the frequency specs can attest that this version is identical in audio quality the previous version which is quite a disappointment when they spent their efforts in other places that don't matter as much as audio. The price is still great for what you are getting so I will recommend them if the features fit your needs. ----- Update--------- 2 months in and one thr left speaker is noticeably lower volume by default. The cable and connections are fine when swapped into another system, so it's a problem with the internal parts of the left speaker set. Further research shows this to be a recurring problem with the latest moondrops, which is a huge shame as I really liked the product otherwise. The cable and earpiece have held up and I'll keep them regardless for repurposing. Dropping product a couple of stars sadly.

Une très bonne surprise. Super rapport qualité prix, son dsp vous permet de bénéficier d'un choix assez large de réglages pour ajuster vos préférences en terme de réponse aux fréquences. L'application est relativement bien faite et permet de télécharger des profils que d'autres ont fait. Les basses sont pas folles et les médiums/aiguës bien présent ce qu'il fait qu'on a pas un son sourd et lourd. Ça reste équilibré comme j'aime. Les écouteurs se portent comme des ears pour les chanteurs et sont très agréables. Seul bémol sur le câble, pas très esthétique et un poil rigide. Le look un peu particulier mais sans trop en faire, j'aurais préféré noir uni.

Indossabilità comoda, meglio delle tradizionali cuffie con cavo, pesanti le cuffiette ma non danno per niente fastidio Per il prezzo che hanno fanno invidia a tutte le cuffie bluetooth E il filo, se lo tieni nella sua costodia, non si intreccia, se no si intreccia comunque

Insanely good for the price point. My first IEM as I was curious, this might of started off a whole new hobby, highly recommend.

Het pakket was eerst niet aangekomen. Na contact op te nemen is het wel snel aangekomen. Het was allemaal netjes ingepakt, met een leren zakje en verschillende onderdelen om samen te voegen. Professioneel product. Helaas is mijn oor kanaal te klein en kan ik ze niet gebruiken. Niet het probleem van het product. Gemiddelde persoon zal er plezier van hebben.
