Should I remove the glass screen protector already on my iPad?

Yes. It will not adhere properly if you don't.

Is this shatter proof?

No, but they are extremely durable.

Will my fingerprint still be readable on the scanner with this screen protector?

Got this for my S7 where the scanner is built into the power button, but I'd say probably unlikely. Also, this screen protector will chew up your S pen so have replacement tips.
