Works perfectly with right USB Wall Charger
There are so many negative reviews, that I wanted to post to say that this cable works perfectly for my Echo Dot 4th Gen. The description for the cable says “the USB 2.0 plug need to connect with 5V 2A or 3A charger”, so I plugged this cable into my Dot and a multiple socket outlet extender which also has USB slots. Those USB slots are rated 5V/2.4A. And the Dot works perfectly. I had it up to volume 8 - the loudest I could tolerate - and it works just fine. Left it on for half an hour and no cutouts, no problems. None of the issues mentioned in the low starred reviews. So if you’ve having problems, check the volts/amps on your wall charger; it’s most likely under powered. When I looked at all my small, single slot, chargers they were only 5V/1A (it’s in the teeny tiny writing that’s usually near the prongs). If you need a short cable - this is only 3’ long - this is a great replacement for the original big power brick that came with the Dot 4th Gen.
