Mesh Onion Bags for Onion and Potato Storage, Produce Storage Bags

These onion bags are great for both onions and garlic. They give the bulbs plenty of air circulation so they keep a lot longer.

Grow my own potatoes and onions and these bags are perfect for storing my potatoes. I pull my onions when young so cut off tops and dry for herbs and then freeze bulbs for cooking. But my potatoes are kept in an old refrigerator that I turned the temp up in so I could keep above 45 degrees and these bags work so well for them. I also have some in the house for storing produce that I buy.

I used these for my sweet potato haul and they work but I will say they will probably work better for regular potatoes or onions- the tips of the sweet potatoes poke out and kind of tear at the material. Also to the seller- don’t tape them so much for shipping- it’s very hard to get off the bags and it damages the integrity of the bag/product - Cling wrap would have worked just as well as the 6 tightly wrapped clear shipping tape or even just the shipping bag.

I bought these to store my finds from rockhounding. They are perfect. I can take them when I go out and they collapse down to almost nothing so I can take several and not lug one large bag of rocks around. I bought plastic labels so I can label each bag of rocks iwth whatever info I want to remember like where I got them, what stage of rock tumbling they are at, what they are, etc. Very very useful for the purpose I got them for. Very sturdy and don't break or rip even filled with rocks. Can be rinsed off and used over and over.

These mesh onion bags were exactly what I was looking for. We grow around 200 onions every year, but have had trouble keeping them from going moldy while storing them. Another experienced gardener suggested these. Each bag holds more than it looks like it will hold. I put around 25-30 nearly baseball sized onions in each bag and only filled the bag 2/3 full. We have a cold storage area in our basement where my husband put some hooks in the ceiling to hang them on. Because the bags are mesh, I was concerned how the drawstring would work. It closed easily, and opens easily when we get an onion out. I have only been storing them for about 2 weeks, so I don’t know if these mesh bags will do the trick to extend how long they will store. It came with more bags than I needed, but the rest will be used next year. They came rolled up, don’t take very much space, making them easy to store. I highly recommend them.

I like to purchase produce when it's in season and on sale. These nifty, strong mesh bags hold a lot of weight and allows for air circulation so the produce lasts longer allowing me to take advantage of the sales

These are really nice. I got them for potatoes but, my bad, they aren't right for that. The potatoes get sunburned while sitting at my roadside stand. But! They are perfect for a dozen of my cobs of corn. And of course, onions. Reasonably strong. Decent price for this size of package. Although if you're using many I'm sure there are better prices.
