Great tasty thick yogurt!
I did it in Thermos: GREAT result 👍 Wonderful tartness, if you want it. If you don't, just leave it for less hours. And the yogurt turned out wonderfully thick. Thank you.

Brilliant yogurt starter culture
I bought this in Jan 2025, so this review is massively overdue. I've only used one sachet so far and have been using a few tablespoons from each batch to culture the next one - that one sachet is still going strong! I've used it occasionally with full fat milk, but mostly semi skimmed milk - organic, lactose free or the "normal" variety. I've only ever used my instant pot, which admittedly has never been used for anything else - 5 hours and we get lovely yogurt. If you want creamy or texture, full fat milk and longer time is needed. If you want the thicker texture but with semi skimmed milk, you just strain it a bit. I have no hesitation in recommending this.

Good product, bad packaging information
As an other reviewer mentioned I followed the instructions from the manufacturers website and not what's on the box, hence 4 stars. I have made 2 batches of delicious thick creamy yoghurt. I will be purchasing this brand again having also bought the original starter, but haven't used it yet.

Excellent starter
Great results using these starters with lactose-free semi-skimmed milk and a couple of teaspoon of whole lactose-free powder milk. 8h at 42°C in the Lakeland yogurt maker, overnight in the fridge, and I don't even need to strain it. The only thing is that I need to use a new sachet every week, as I don't get great results using the yogurt from the previous batch. I assume is due to the absence of lactose in the milk, which makes the yogurt more weak over the days.

Works with Non-diary ingredients
I’m reducing my animal fats so wanted to make a non diary probiotic yogurt. Although it’s for diary after some error I’ve managed to make an amazing non diary probiotic yogurt using this. Blended coconut, cashew and a little oats in water, heated then allowed to cool. Inoculated it and left it for 8 hours at 30 degrees C in my oven. I’m very happy, I’m getting 3 lots of plants and feeding my gut all in one. I do also add fruits and nuts as a topping. The instructions didn’t give a temperature for the incubation, it was a guessing game.

This product according to me is crap
Crap , very slimy yogurt. Later my mother in law brought Amul's yogurt pot which was served in Air India and tried making yogurt out of it. BINGO , since a year we get proper 100% Indian curd. Damn too tasty but only discrepancy is , we use full cream milk instead of half fat. This product according to me is crap

I've been making yogurt in my Instantpot with batch sizes of half milk gallons for years using a different brand of starter. Recently, my yogurt has not been setting up. There are lots of variables in making yogurt, so I tried different milk, tested the temps my Instantpot, etc. I tried this new Yogourmet brand, and everything is working great again. It is much more powerful compared to other brands. I only need a half packet of culture to get good results from a half gallon of milk. I have re-used the yogurt as a starter for a second batch, and it works great. I could probably do more batches from the starter, just have not tried it yet. So I am currently getting 4 batches of yogurt (each with a half gallon of milk) per packet. Glad I found this brand! I use NOT ULTRA PASTEURIZED (very important) whole milk (Clover for Bay Area people). I bring the milk up to slowly to180'F, then slowly let it come down to 110'F, then add culture, let it incubate overnight. Delicious! I started making my own yogurt mostly because I got tired of using so many big plastic containers. When I make my own, the cost is much less than half the price using milk instead of buying yogurt in a plastic container.

The instructions are easy to follow. This starter makes yogurt with a good texture, just about the perfect thickness without straining. The yogurt tastes great plain and with mix-ins. Worth the money.
