Genius Twist
A genius twist to tic-tac-toe! Fun, challenging, and a must have if your family enjoys playing games. Of course it’s a two player game, but our family of four played in teams. Great conversations and problem solving skills executed.

Fantastic, Unexpected Gift
I saw this game recommended in a parenting magazine and ordered it as a birthday gift for my four-year-old. Although the age recommendation is five-and-up, any child who has a basic understanding of tic-tac-toe should be able to play and enjoy. I should note that it is far more fun than tic-tac-toe. I won't go into the rules, but basically it's a game of strategy, but it also hits on spacial reasoning, ascending and descending order, and cause-and-effect -- but mostly it just feels like fun. Your children don't realize their brains are working to figure out where to move next or which guy to move. My son also loves the fun shapes of the smooth, brightly colored game pieces with the plume of felt "hair" and assembling the game grid. The game feels very sturdy and almost craftsman-like, rather than the usual molded plastic. One of the best things about this game is that it is very fast. It's easy to say "yes" to three quick games of Gobblet Gobblers before bed, because you could play this many games in about five-to-ten minutes. Another great thing is that it is simply fun. After playing against the children several times, my husband and I could not resist playing each other, because he has a theory that you could never lose if you went first. Nice theory, but he was wrong! Enjoy!

A good game for kids (and adults) who need to learn to win and lose graciously
I’ve got a little one who has some skills so she does her share of winning. But she isn’t so good at celebrating others’ success – she’s not a good sport. So how do I teach her to lose more graciously? I figured I would give her a lot of practice at losing, and that’s where Gobblet Gobblers came in. It’s based on tic-tac-toe, with the added feature that some pieces can eat other pieces. Each player gets two big gobblers, two medium sized ones, and two small gobblers. The big ones can stack on top of (or eat) the medium and small gobblers, while the medium gobblers can eat the smaller ones. The smallest gobblers are stuck at the bottom of the food chain: they can’t eat anyone. This is a very fun game to play, and it’s short: just a couple minutes long. That means in just ten minutes of playing against her dad my daughter got a chance to lose, and practice doing it the right way, a half dozen times. Of course, she also beat me once. This is a kid’s game, but one that parents don’t have to turn their brains off to enjoy too. In fact I’ve played this with my wife, and some of my nephews and nieces, ranging in age from 5 to over 20 have all found the game quite addictive too. The solid wood pieces that will stand up to some good use. Oh, and lately, now that my daughter is catching on, I’ve been finding out it’s also a good tool for the older adult who needs some practice at losing graciously!

We really enjoy this game
We really enjoy this game. A step up from regular tic-tac-toe it's a good way to introduce beginners to strategy games. I like that the pieces are wooden and sturdy giving you that "classic toy" feel. Even though it's for ages 5 and up my 3 year old can get the hang of it with a little coaching. Overall a fun family game, simple set up, simple rules and not a whole bunch of pieces to keep up with.

Great for all ages
This game brings another layer of strategy to your regular tic tac toe and is quite addicting. Everyone we have played it with has loved the game and wanted to buy it themselves. It's high quality wood pieces that last in a well packed box. We play as adults and all the way down to our 5 year old and it is great with all ages in between!

Really fun, high quality!
This is a wonderfully fun twist on tic-tac-toe! It really makes you think and strategize. I got it for my 8 year old for Christmas and he loves it! The whole family has been playing it - me, my husband, and our 6 year old love it too. It is all wood, which is so hard to find in games these days, and is just as cute as can be. I would highly recommend this - it's one of my favorite Christmas gifts I bought this year, and I'll definitely be getting more of these to give as gifts!

Fun for all ages
This has become a family favorite game for us. My 5 year old grandson received it for Christmas and after we played it together I had to purchase one for my house. You never know who will win, whether you are playing with a young child, a teenager or an adult. Gobbling is such a fun way to play tic tac toe. The wooden pieces have a nice weight to them so they don’t fall over and the felt tops make them easy to move around and gobble the other pieces. The game is also fast moving so little ones stay engaged and learn to strategize quickly.

Fun game, nice wooden pieces
Fun variant of tic-tac-toe with really nice wooden pieces. Just be careful of the felt attached to the wooden pieces, especially if you have curious little-ones who like to pull things apart.
