Hotel Chocolat Milky Hot Chocolat, 250g

I decided to treat myself for Christmas and bought this Hot Chocolate along with some Monin Gingerbread Syrup and wow was I happy that I did. The chocolate is a flaked chocolate not a powder which you need really hot milk to melt it, but once melted it gives off a lovely smell. I tried the Hot Chocolate on its own with syrups and with Bailey's it tasted great each time. Only problem was my daughter has a reaction to dark chocolate and so never got to try this as it's a mix of milk and dark chocolate, I wish this had been stated somewhere as I would of bought her a different brand as Hotel Chocolat don't seem to do just a milk not chocolate.

Am now on subscription as 1 a week I get through just having a real chocolate in the evenings. 8 portions are in this pack so no sharing only if their worth it. I thought buying a different brand (a good brand) with 50g more, for 50p less was a good idea until I tasted and wasted. That was the only share I did of the chocolate as it was so sweet it was undrinkable. I shall never try another as I don't think you could find another with a true chocolate flavour at the right sweetness. Recommended to all.

Beautiful hot chocolate and extremely decadent. It is quite expensive when you break it down per cup, but still nowhere near what you pay to have a similar quality hot chocolate at your favourite highstreet coffee shop. Works with the hotel chocolat velvetiser or just hot milk. I have found it to be perfect to use with a coffee machine steam wand, which gives a thick, bubbly head and smooth consistancy.

Came in a sealed bag inside a box as per picture and again in a sealed box, and then an amazon box as I ordered other items. This chocolate says it is flakes but I would say it is more crumbs of differing sizes. When used in the velvitiser sometimes the larger bits do not dissolve fully, although expensive it makes a lovely chocolate drink. Will buy again as so much nicer than the powder bought in the supermarket.

I Brought this as a birthday present for my mum and she said it was the best hot chocolate she had ever had! It has about 8-10 servings in it depending on how much chocolate you put in. It doesn't take very long to make, it tastes great! It is expensive but I don't really think it's over priced for what it is. You can add other things to it too like syrups, chilli, ect. Would Recommend!
