The perfect intro book to trading stocks
I was originaly looking for a book to learn how to do day trading. Unfortunately, after a couple of intro books to day trading, I was left with more questions than I started with. I didn't know the first thing about the stock market and all these intro books assumed you knew the basics to trading stocks. That's when I turned to the tried and true "for dummies" series. I wanted to get day trading for dummies but the reviews implied the same problem I have had with the other intro books. Luckily, I came across a review that recommeneded this book for true stock market noobs. This is the best "for dummies" book I have read to date! Not only does the book cover the process of buying and trading stocks but they stop and explain terms and concepts about the stock market. This book is a wealth of knowledge and provides concrete examples when explaining trading concepts. I highly recommend this book to anyone that is interested in trading stocks wether your looking to day trade, swing trade or be a long term investor.

A good book for Dummies like me
Swing Trading is a style of intermediate term investing; longer than one day, but not longer than a month, or two. This is not a book about "buy and hold" investing. There are several sub-categories of Swing trading. I personally have learned to "swing trade" by selling options, or option spreads, that are scheduled to expire worthless within two days to two months.. Many traders already have systems, and preconceived ideas about how they work their trading. If this is a new subject for you, you may want to read this book from start to finish. Should you be a seasoned investor/trader, you will probably read through selected chapters, or quickly page through the book, while selecting sections of interest to concentrate on; so as to improve your swing trading methodologies. This book gives some good info on trends; what we look for ourselves. Chart trend lines, support and resistance points, and other chart formations are not exceedingly hard to look for, and find. I consider them to be an important part of my own swing trading work. As with other Dummies books, this is a fine book to learn the basics. It will give you more ideas that you will ever be able to use. Your main object should be to find one thing that will help you at a time. You will find many ideas in this book. Some of these ideas may help you greatly. Pay particular attention to the chapter on Managing Risk; Here you will find stories about how traders survive to keep trading for another day. Do not stop with this book, but make it your beginning.. If you love to trade, you will feel the need to keep learning about it. Use this book as a start, and move on to read about Swing Trading from other more system specific books. Lastly, use various guides like Kiplinger, Barron's, or Cramer's show, but also develop a system(s) so that you learn think for yourself. In that way you can filter the options of others through your own system, as you learn to make it a more and more reliable money maker. This book will help you find your first, or new swing trading system. I wish you good trading.

Great Swing Trading Book with Theories and Examples
I bought the Kindle copy of this book and after reading it, I also bought the paperback to keep it in my bookshelf. This book is professionally written and edited. The author has a very clear and crisp tone. In addition to lots of trading theories, I found ample examples on how to start looking for swing trading opportunities. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a great resource on swing trading.

Clear & concise
Very informative book that explains swing trading concepts clearly. Bassal writes in a way that isn’t too technical and could be understood by the average investor/trader. Although this is a great book regarding swing trading, your success as a trader depends on constant research, keeping up with the market, and making tweaks to your game until you have a consistent profitable trading strategy. Great starting book!

Not bad to start swing trading with
It takes a lot of pages to explain simple concepts . That being said it’s not a bad book to get the basic concepts. Some strategies are good , some unclear and some make sense in theory but much harder to implement , at least for me.

Great book!!
I purchased Swing Trading for Dummines ( along with Online Trading for Dummmies, Technical Analysis for Dummies and Market Timing for Dummies.) and I found this to be a great book that is very useful and informative and well fitted to my trading style. I'm a short term trader with little capitol avaiable to invest ( less than 1500 ) and this book has given me a solid foundation and taught me many things that I didn't know before. My copy of this book is full of pages with folded over corners which I marked because they had especially useful and significant information. I found the sections on chart reading to be especially helpful, valuable and informative ( though the Technical Analysis for Dummies book covered chart reading in much more detail). This is a PRACTICAL book that should be useful, informative and valuable for any beginning or intermediate short term investor. Highly recommended.

A good book for beginners
Most stock trading books are mostly alike. This book is good for new stock traders as concepts are clear and easy to understand.Grammer and charts are appropriate.Book is easy paced. The key to any new stock trader is gaining market exposure exprience. This book should be read maybe 2-3 times initally.Book Concepts and markets get more clear as time goes by..usually two to three years.

I bought and read "Fundamental analysis for dummies", "technical analysis for dummies" and "swing trading for dummies". This one puts the first two books into practice. This book is a very hands-on, practical book which tells a novice what to do, unlike the first two which are more theoretical. Its makes sense to combine all, but this one can be used as a stand alone. You could give "candle stick charting for dummies" a pass. Most of the information in that one is freely available on stockcharts.com

Some good, honest advice. Aimed at all levels for anyone wanting to learn about swing trading, it also covers some of the more advanced topics. Great to see risk control strategies covered in depth.

Questo testo e' completamente inutile. Dove sia lo Swing Trading e' tutto da vedere... sono molto meglio i libri di O'Neil
