Dimensions?** A: Just as far as the depth of the nut **Q: Can these be removed again if needed?** A: They can be removed. But it's not easy. And once you do, they can't be re-used again. They're a one time use item. You can use a set of Pliers or Vise Grips and just muscle them off. Or cut the flange in a couple of places with a hack saw, or Rotary tool and then use your pliers. They Grip Aluminum much harder than Steel.
