It offers 1.65 specific gravity and is non-toxic. It has calcium carbonate, magnesium aluminum silicate, crystalline quartz silica, butane polymer, synthetic polymer, carbon black, antioxidant, cellulose fiber, aluminum silicate, tall oil rosin and naphthenic wax composition. Duct seal is UL listed. Review: Really great to use to seal outside ducting - Great product for outside ducting. I had a new HVAC system put in, and I had to get new refrigerant lines put in as well. Metal cover/ducting was put over the lines down the side of the house. I wanted to better seal the bottom of the ducting. This product is like a sticky and slightly tougher playdoh. You can shape it, and pull pieces apart to fit any space. I suspect that this 1 lb unit can easily cover up to 1/2 square foot of space. Some advice: 1. Remove the internal plastic cover -- it's tricky, as it rips easily. I ended up with pieces of it embedded. 2. Use a knife to cut pieces off -- you can rip them off, but it does leave a ragged "edge" that needs to be re-shapped. Overall, great product for the price!
