Review: Good upgrade - I used this caliper to replace my front brakes in a recent bike upgrade. The product was of good quality which goes without saying really as it is a Shimano & I am very pleased with the end result. Fitting it was a doddle, it took about 30 minutes to fit the new parts to my old focus hybrid & so far it has been working very well on my daily commute to work. The braking force & overall performance has been greatly improved & more importantly the wet weather breaking is by far superior to my previous standard lever brakes. In all its a good upgrade or replacement product depending on what your looking to do.

**Q: What does post mount mean**
A: Hi - thanks for your message.  Post mount refers to the way the caliper attaches to the frame or fork.  Most modern forks accept post mount brakes; frames (rear brake) can be either IS or Post Mount - but brakes are nearly always post mount and you use adapters to attach the brake.  Feel free to call us for more information and we can talk you through the parts you need in more detail.

**Q: Hi is the brake Has brake pads already intalled? And which caliper is this front or the back?**
A: Yes they have new pads already fitted in them.
Those brakes are exactly the same so you fit to front of back of bike if your bike is compatible to take them.

**Q: can this be used on a cyclocross with a road bike lever ? Also could this be used to replace hayes cx comp brakes and is it worth doing it ?**
A: Can be used, but is not very light disc brake like the Hayes

A: It should do it is universal but you may need to purchase an adaptor

I used this caliper to replace my front brakes in a recent bike upgrade. The product was of good quality which goes without saying really as it is a Shimano & I am very pleased with the end result. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Definite improvement

Having just completed an e-bike modification to my hybrid, I was somewhat concerned with the rear brake performance given the extra weight and increased momentum. Didn't like the idea of spending a lot of money on the e-bike kit and then putting myself at risk with poor braking performance. I already had disc brakes but there was no option of converting to a hydraulic system, so the option was to source an improved manual (cable) calliper. Having read numerous reports for the Shimano M375 I decided this was the option to go for. The calliper fitted straight onto the existing mounting, fitting and setup took no more than 10 minutes. So what about performance, with the OEM calliper it was necessary to apply significant force to the brake lever to achieve the desired result (ie stop the bike lol) but with the new Shimano the required force applied to the brake lever was much less to achieve the same result. The braking lever action was also noticeably smoother and braking felt much more progressive. So overall I'm convinced this was money well spent, ship and a ha'po'rth o tar comes to mind.
