I was in the market for a new scan tool so looked around at various manufacturers, I decided to buy the Xtool D7W for the following reasons. I have an Xtool diagnostics tool so know that they make good tools - Easy of use - the new interface is intuitive and easy to navigate - New type C charging port so can charge on the go or in vehicle. I have had communications with the Xtool customer services on various occasions so as to clarify or ask questions and can say that customer services are very responsive and have always managed to resolve any issue that I may of had in a timely manner. The D7W feels solid in the hand due to the rubberised finish so will hopefully be able to withstand everyday knocks and bumps. The New Xtool interface is an improvement on the previous D7 and I must say the introduction of the Wifi connection is has made a big difference with the scan time as this tool will scan the vehicle a fair bit quicker than other tools I have used, the wireless connection means that you can take the tool around the vehicle in cases where you want to actuate lights etc, the report generated is easy to read and informative and you can even do an internet search direct from the tool so as to clarify what maybe causing the issue as well as being able to view and graph live data so as to hopefully get to the bottom of whatever is causing the issue. The device now comes with a type C charger port which is a major game changer as with the previous charger connection you had to make sure the tool had a good level of charge before using it whereas with the type C charger connection you can just plug it in to a power outlet in the car you are scanning using a standard USB car charger. All in all a well made tool that is a nice addition to any weekend or full time mechanics toolbox that will assist with fault diagnosis and even comes with bidirectional control (vehicle dependant) so that you can test individual components as well as component resets and activations etc. Well done Xtool,

I recently purchased the xTool D7W car diagnostic tool, and I couldn’t be more impressed with its performance. As a car enthusiast and DIY mechanic, having a reliable and accurate diagnostic tool is essential, and the xTool D7W has truly exceeded my expectations. The setup was quick and straightforward, and the user interface is incredibly intuitive, making it easy to navigate through the various diagnostic functions. What really sets the xTool D7W apart is its special function it's nothing short of amazing! I own a few diagnostics machines from different companies and I quite often read how good Xtool is, especially for European cars so I thought I'd give this one a go and honestly, I'm a little disanointed. When I received the unit I went to turn it on and found it completely dead, no charge at all but what was worse is the vci itself appeared to have some damage, albeit minimal. The plastic housing where the clip should be is damaged and the clip is missing, it doesn't effect the way it works but for a new device it shouldn't come this way. In terms of the functionality of the device, once fully charged I was able to create a user account and sign into the tablet and start the update process, around 310 updates were found and honestly, they downloaded and installed very quickly, that's where the speed ended. Once connected to the car, the auto diagnose option wasn't a simple press of a button like my other diagnostics machines, with this you press the button and it brings up another option for automatic or manual, you press automatic and then it asked me to select the brand of the car and then it identified the car so while the process wasn't difficult, it's not as smooth and polished as other brands available. Once connected and the vehicle was identified I was able to perform a full scan of the car which took around 4-6 minutes on a 2013 Peugeot 208 so it's not very quick but that's due to the hardware used as the memory is almost at maximum capacity. Once the scan was complete it was nice and simple to see the errors and go into the required modules and saving the report couldn't have been easier. After my initial unboxing, setup and first couple of scans on my car and the wife's car this tool had a lot of promise but doesn't quite meet it. The software is good however it could be smoother just by not having to go through multiple screens before your car is identified (maybe that's just a Peugeot problem). It wouldn't have cost much more to have 3Gb of ram instead of 2 which would make the tablet run a little smoother and possibly speed up the scanning process. The biggest problem was for me at least the constant need for an internet connection. Even though the unit shouldn't require a constant internet connection for a basic diagnostic session, without this I received an error stating 'Network unstable' or something to that effect. For the price point you do get a solid unit capable of quite a lot however it could have been better with just a few little tweaks.

So this is my 3rd time trying to find a diagnostic computer that could do it all and wasn't an unsupported clone (looking at Launch on Amazon!) Firstly I must commend Lemon on the support provided, even before this purchased they advised they couldn't confirm the tablet could do what I needed (after I sent my VIN) and I should try another brand. However I took the gamble as Amazon's return polices are pretty good and I was not let down. I have been able to force the regen of my DPF, slowly bringing back the performance of my van which wasn't well looked after by previous owners it would seem! The wireless feature makes it much easier to troubleshoot but does mean that the tablet needs to be charged separately. Also leaving the dongle connected overnight will rapidly drain the van battery, unlike Bluetooth dongles but that is a user issue rather than product.

This product has no function to code porsche cayenne 958 vehicles.

Working still . Not had a lot of use cleared a few codes on a few cars but mainly my own. Has lot of functions albeit has a few system nt available too. Not sure if it will set bmw mini like my Bosch used to but time will tell . Seems well thought out with an operating system similar to Autels hand helds . So if you used them everything will be very same old same olds .

I ordered on 9th September and received on 10th Sep excellent delivery. I bought this to Re-set the Nox sensor after I had replaced the sensor on Citroen C4 Cactus. As I did not have the part I waited until13th Sep to open it, it recommended to charge for 8 hours before first use( it had only 7 Minutes charge). After charging I looked to find the re-set for Nox sensor, but could not find it, despite questioning the Amazon help if this scanner has Nox sensor programming/ Re-set before purchase and answer was YES ??! I had to then register the scanner to be able to update it ( required over 120 updates) in a hope that the Nox programming will be in update. On Monday 15th Sep I put the scanner on the car with following results: A- The WiFi/blue tooth was intermittent and had to start over again at least four times. B- The automatic VIN identification was difficult and had to input car details four times Manually. C- Still no sign of Nox sensor programming/ Re-set. D- gave up and went to local garage to programme it at 10.0am on Monday 15th Sep. Took them 8 minutes. Conclusion: I decided if this scanner could not do simple task of programming Nox sensor or difficult to find through without really any meaningful instruction. This was no good for me and it was in the post returning by 12.30 15th Sep. The Parcel was delivered to Seller on Wednesday 17th Sep at 8.28am . Still no response or refund 2 days later.

I have bought this diagnostic tool fir my Mazda CX-5 2.2D. Great value for the money. I had to look for a while until I found a tool compatible with Asian cars as majority from this price range are saying that will work but they can not access more than one ECU. Great connectivity, it is making updates every, customer service are quick and responsive. Interface it is intuitive and easy to use.
