**Q: how long is the chain?**
A: From the center of the chain pin in the handleto the center of the last chain pin is 23 and 1/8inches.  This would allow it to encircle a 7 inchdiameter object (approximately).   After someuse, the chain pins will "seat" or "wear in", toallow a slightly larger diameter to be encircled.I mention this because mine has not yet beenused, so the measurement is for a new tool.This is a handsome and rugged wrench.  I ama retired professional engineer and probablygot the dimension right.

**Q: Does the 12" model work on a 4" diameter part?**
A: Pipe size max is 4 inches

**Q: What is the width of the chain?**
A: The chain itself is 3/8 but if you include the pins in the wrists it is 3/4

**Q: Will the chain fit around a 4 inch pipe**
A: Will work on a fitting or pipe up to 5 inches in diameter
