Dust is just bad for electronics, no two ways about it. This fits perfectly underneath the Mac Studio and lifts it up about an inch and a half off the table and keeps the bottom of the computer from getting scratched up by moving it across the table surface to dust. Really nice. It has a washable, reusable mesh filter which is a plus. I added a nylon top cover to completely encapsulate the Mac Studio from dust on top as well, also something I bought from desertcart. When all assembled the Mac Studio completely vanishes and dust is only a problem on the covers a filters which can be easily cleaned. Don’t spend $5,000 on a high end computer and cheap out on its maintenance. This air filter is affordable and highly functional and recommended as a result. Many of the other reviewers commented about the tiny gap between the Mac and the stand regarding it allowing air in more as the filter fills up, or when plugging into the USB ports that the Mac slips off the stand, or that the stand has no rubber feet on the bottom of the stand to keep it from slipping on a smooth desk. Yes noticed all these things too. I have a solution for all that and it’s what I did. I bought the black model for a reason. I put small strips of black electrical tape on each of the 4 corners and I wrapped entirely around the Mac and the stand a stip of electrical tape split 1/2 on each on the tape with to seal the gap. Thus also stopped the Mac from sliding on the stand when plugging into the ports and stopped the sliding on the desk. Black tape. Black stand. Black Apple logo on top. You don’t notice the tape and it looks fine on the Mac. Good even. Now, air flow is entirely through the filer and no slippage. Review: Do you wish it was less $? Yes. Will you think about that in a few months? If you touch it, you can tell instantly it's not Mac quality, but the "eye test," just looking at it, the match is pretty solid.
