I am glad we invested in the Platinum Pail for many reasons. The first being the ease with which you change out bag cartridges. You just pop it in the bottom (it holds two) and then pull a bag up to the top. This is so much easier than the original Diaper Genie. The next reason being that the bag refills and each bag lasts much longer than the other Diaper Genie version meaning less work. Also this Diaper Genie has a sleek look and is taller. It keeps the smell in fairly well. I’ve had a few very stinky diapers that would create smells each time the lid was opened, but once the lid was closed, it was contained. The price is a bit higher than the other models, but you get stainless steel instead of plastic and easier and longer usage.

The Diaper Genie Platinum Pail in Sage Green has been a fantastic addition to our nursery. The stainless steel design feels sturdy and high-quality, and the color looks beautiful in the room—definitely more stylish than the older plastic models. It does an excellent job containing odors, even on the busiest diaper days. The Easy Roll refill system is so convenient, and the fact that one roll lasts up to five months is a huge money-saver. Emptying and replacing the bags is quick and mess-free. If you’re looking for a modern, durable, and truly effective diaper pail, this one is definitely worth it. Highly recommend!

Perhaps not the usual use for this item but it is fantastic for putting our cat waste in from the litter box. I bought a box of small poop bags designed for dogs and use them when scooping the cat litter. Then, step on the pedal of the Diaper Genie and drop it in. So far we are loving the convenience and the no smell in the room where the litter box is. The bags for the diaper genie are easy to load and so far seem to do the job well. I figured if it works for diapers why not kitty litter! So far great choice!

As a mom of 4 with 2 under 2 and both in diapers this is a MUST for our family. The size accommodates two in diapers very well and the “take out” process is seamless with this model. It keeps the smell at bay and makes the diaper stages much more pleasant!

Cute color, works like it should. Keeps the funky diaper smell contained. Has a spot for little charcoal filters in the lid and two spots for diaper bag refills at the bottom.

So I know the product is intended for diapers however it also works great for dog poop bags. I didn’t want to have to leave them sitting outside my door stinking up the area until the trash runs midweek. This keeps the front door looking tidy and smelling nice as well. Bonus that I can just take the bag and put it in the trash each week for disposal. The canister itself looks nice as well. Only problem I had is that it came in the original packing and was obviously not handled with care. As you can see from the attached photos there is some denting down the back left. I have it sitting with back facing the door so it’s not visually that much of an issue but it might be more of a problem for someone else. Other than that I’m pleased with my purchase. This was a much better idea than those small decorative trash cans for pet bag waste. Plus price wise it’s a win as well.

There are a lot of reviews on this that don't seem to make sense to me. Some say that it breaks easily, other say that it's hard to use or doesn't work correctly. I personally think that this is mostly user error. Sure, there are going to be a small percentage that don't perform as expected, but I think those should be few and far between. We had the old original Diaper Genie and it worked great! We loved it so much that we decided to get another when our newest addition arrived. We did some research, and due to the "breakability" of some parts, we decided to get this one (stainless steel vs plastic). We are happy to announce that we are STILL Diaper Genie fans! A couple notes: 1 - This new model loads from the bottom. It's not hard to load, but it's certainly an adjustment over the original. 2 - We recommend getting the REAL refills (the ones made by the same company), but the knock-offs do work. However, some of the knock-offs might not protect against odor as well. If you purchase the cheap ones, do so at your own risk. 3 - This loads from the bottom, but you pull the full bags out from the top. As such - DO NOT OVERFILL the bags. When removing the bags, open the Diaper Genie and step on the opening pedal. This will pull the inner flap down and allow for easier removal. However, if you have over-filled the bag, it may become very challenging to get the bag out without tearing. 4 - When you throw diapers into the Diaper Genie, make sure the diaper goes all the way in. If it does not, the inner flaps may not close and odor may escape from the pale. If you cannot fit a diaper in the bag, change the bag. It really is that simple. 5 - Finally, have a light foot - there is no reason to stomp on the opening pedal. Doing so may break the pedal... some of y'all don't know your own strength! This model is an improvement over the original - it's very easy to use... simply step on the pedal, throw the diaper in, and release the pedal. As long as there is room in the bag, the diaper will disappear, along with it's odor. 100% recommend this!

We upgraded to the Diaper Genie Platinum after struggling with an older secondhand version, and the difference is night and day. This one is sleek, easy to use, and just works. The foot pedal is smooth, refills are simple, and it holds a surprising number of diapers—we only change the bag once or twice a week. The blue color is also a nice touch—it actually looks good in the nursery. I’m pretty minimalist when it comes to baby gear, but this one earns its spot. Total game-changer.

I honestly enjoy this diaper pail so much. As a first time mom, I tried out a different brand prior to getting this. And I didnt like how difficult the brand I had gotten was because we literally struggled to open the lid whenever we needed to dispose the dirty diaper. Then I decided to purchase this one and I loved how sleek the design was and loved how there was a pedal to open the diaper pail. I liked how it also contained the smell as well. And the size was also another thing that I really loved, it made it easier to have in a corner of the room. I loved it so much that, I purchased one for my mom's house for whenever we visit.

A must-have for any household with a baby. It really locks in the smell, looks sleek, and is very easy to use. Changing the bags is simple and it keeps the room smelling clean. The only downside is that it’s a bit expensive—but still worth it for the convenience.
