Works well to apply refresher oil to wooden floors
I used this with a paint roller pole that screwed into the handle to re-oil a wood floor. It was very effective and has some swivel froward and backward that gives flexibility in its use. The floor oil held well in the pad and I was able to spread this evenly on the floors. I bought a spare pad but didn't need to use it. The pad clips in and out just by pressing it in or pushing the pad out from the handle.

fantastic product
great applicator for varnish. Goes on nice and even. Be wary that it goes on thick with this head, its not shy with it. use a nice long handle with it and use long, straight strokes, and try to take weight off the head gradually as you are pulling it up from the floor, to stop it from leaving a visible line in your varnish. Other than that, would deffo buy again. Bargain at a tenner.

Easy speedy applicator
I'm using this product to apply Danish oil to 40mm solid oak work tops.. Its amazingly fast using this tool. Of you squeeze out tje excess against a paint tray you can use it to even out and blend and runs etc I saw the cheaper Spence on stick type but glad now I invested in this.

Waste of time stick to a brush !
Ive used paint pads before for paint and found them to be less messy quick and effective so thought id give this a whirl. I cant personally see a difference between this and my pads for paint not sure why this is for varnish only ? The sponge just creates a mass of bubbles in the varnish which I couldn't remove no matter how much I tried. I wiped it off and started again. Same thing happened and I have found out since that the sponge creates air pockets of oxygen that causes the bubbles as you compress it. I wiped it away again and gave up went back to a good old brush instead and my floor looks lovely. Yes i will use this in future but for paint NOT varnish. I would advise others to do the same.
