Exactly what I was looking for.
Note: At the time of my review the price of this computer was $240. It's come down significantly since then, which only makes it that much more attractive. ------------------------ I haven't even finished the OS setup, and I'm already giving this 5 stars all around. I'm going to a professional class in June that is *hugely* important to me and my career, and I just needed something lightweight to take with me for studying and whatnot. The description and the prior reviews for this particular machine already ticked all the proverbial boxes, and now that it's in my hands, I can see that it wasn't wasted money at all. The biggest factor for me is the fact that it has a proper 1920x1080 screen, and not one of those other bizzarro resolutions that laptops tend to come in. On a screen this size, the extra pixels matter a lot for viewing documents. The display is sharp, no dead pixels, and the backlighting is nice and even. Even the slightly older i5 processor is pretty grossly overpowered for what I'm going to be using the computer for, but a little extra horsepower never hurts. And 16 gigs of RAM? Yeah, that's a really nice touch. Storage space isn't really going to be a concern, so the 256GB drive will be more than plenty. An SSD is an absolute must these days and I'm glad it didn't come with a platter drive... although at this price point, adding one wouldn't have been much of a burden either. Other things I like: Backlit keyboard, which also doesn't feel like it's made of cheese. Little pointer-control-mousy-bit-thingy on the keyboard. Responsive touch pad. HDMI out. Three standard USB ports as well as a C-micro. Ethernet port. Micro SD card slot. And what looks like maybe a SIM card slot under that? Is that even a thing? At any rate, it's got an awful lot of external connectivity for such a compact laptop. Very good design. This is a really, really nice little machine. I haven't even done anything of value with it yet and I'm already extremely impressed.

Perfect
Laptop is exactly what it says it is, works flawlessly, so far no issues what so ever as far as the hardware and ease of set up for the OS. As an aside, I do wish they would offer Linux as an option, but it is what it is.

A Great Performer, but you may need a new battery
I'm really happy with this machine. It arrived carefully packed, and the seller even included a brand new mousepad. The laptop itself is in excellent condition, with only the tiniest hints of wear. It could almost pass for new. The inside was also clean, with only a small amount of dust to blow out of the CPU fan. The one shortcoming was a weak battery, which provided only 1-2 hours of run time. Based on previous reviews, that was something I sort of anticipated. Here's a summary of what I've done to beef the machine up at an extra cost of about $80: (1) Replaced the battery with a new third party replacement (search Amazon for "60Wh F3YGT Laptop Battery Replacement for Dell Latitude 7480"). I'm still running through the first few cycles of conditioning, but it looks like I'm getting around 5 hours of casual use right now. I was hoping for closer to the 13 hours boasted when these units were new, but that's not bad. It may improve with conditioning, and you can further increase battery life by making tweaks to your power settings, and / or turning off things you don't always need on, like BlueTooth or Wi-Fi. (2) Booted up Windows long enough to install the latest Dell BIOS update for the Latitude 7480. This is a good idea as it addresses both performance and security issues. (3) Replaced the original 256GB SSD with a much faster 500GB NVMe. I considered upgrading the RAM (it'll take 32GB maximum), but both slots have 8GB DIMMs on this machine, and upgrading would require buying two new modules. I may revisit that idea later on. (4) Installed Linux Mint 21.1. One reviewer wrote that because this laptop doesn't support Windows 11, it would have to be trashed after Windows 10 support ends in October 2025. This is partially correct, but only if you choose to run Windows on it. You can download and install one of the many free distributions of Linux, which takes care of the obsolescence issue entirely. Linux Mint is one of the more user-friendly and popular distributions so it makes an excellent choice. This laptop is more than capable of performing a variety of tasks capably for years to come when you take Microsoft out of the equation. TL;DR It's a good laptop, but plan on buying a replacement battery.

YOU CAN TRUST THE “ IT SUPPLY GUYS “
I am a senior and I wanted my own Laptop. I had a budget, $250.00. I kept looking and found a renewed Dell Latitude Laptop on Amazon. I know I wanted a Backlit Keyboard and a Webcam. This was back in the Summer of 2024. The Sellers had what I wanted, I bought it just under my budget. The one incident that occurred was the Enter Key was sticking, It eventually came off. It was 9 mos after I bought it. I emailed the IT GUYS and they listened to me. They mailed me a keyboard, no cost to me. They provide outstanding customer service. I read they partnered with Microsoft as a registered refurbisher recently. I’m already trying to find a Laptop and will only buy it from THE IT GUYS. That’s when I came to know what I didn’t know. THE IT GUYS ratings are high, I know now why. They offer high quality at an affordable price. I do lots of research when I buy things, it’s just the way I am, and it pays off for me. *****

Battery is bad.
The laptop looks good. New case I think. However, the battery is shot. Battery will show 100% but once unplugged you have about 4 minutes before it's dead and shuts down. I happen to have a new battery for this laptop and I'd rather not deal with returns/exchange. So they win I guess. Unfortunately this comes from Amazon renewed store so who knows who refurbished it. It'll be the last one I buy.

Not bad, but not great!
Worked great for about 7-8 months in, but soon found a keyboard problem. There appears to be a malfunction of a few keys not resolve easily through a few attempts to resolve it. After a few months I realized two screws were missing from the bottom cover, which often lead to a separation of top and bottom. For the price it wasn’t too bad, but these were the issues I encountered.

It was a top decision to buy this laptop.
It has a well installed windows 10. I was happy, as I detected, the Windows has a Windows for Linux Subsystem. With that Subsystem is a well Debian Bookworm installable on the top of the Windows. The accumulator working well. It is possible to reach Microsoft C/C++ free for this version of Windows. The Team of Windows worked well in the last years, I should consider. My original plan, to install a Debian on this system was dropped, as I detected the opportunities of this system. Many THANKs for this laptop!

Have no problem with Seller Their shipping method Fed Ex is horrible
I have no opinion of the laptop since I havent received it. Fed Ex is too incompetant to knock on my door to let me know they are there. I work from home and I am always home during business hours. This seller has restrictions on the delivery so I cant have it delivered to a holding store for pickup either, With all the problems I have had with delivery I would never order from this seller again since it is the seller that determines what delivery service is used and all the restrictions. I have never had any problems with Amazon delivery. Amended: Received laptop in great condition. It is working as it should and easy set up. I love the back lite keyboard. Laptop has a very fast processing speed

Great product, great seller service.
Giving this product from this seller 5 stars. The laptop is a great deal and is more powerful than chromebooks that cost more. Great for work or school work, videos etc. I noticed that the battery charge level was not reaching the 80% of new capacity using an MS Windows Battery analysis tool and let the seller know. With no questions asked they sent a replacement battery right away. Would purchase again, and from this seller.

Refurbished Dell Laptop
The laptop arrived in great time and looked brand new. The was some over spray on the on button and screen from the refurbishment but this doesn't stop performance. The laptop is great and does everything I require it for. I would strongly recommend considering a refurbished device and saving some money.
