Bought one to try for elderly father. He found it so good Bought 2 more, for their car. Hubby so impressed I bought him one aswell. Fits well. Size good. Great value. Helps getting in and out of car for independence.

So useful. I leave one in my own car and leave another on the hall table to pick up when I travel in someone else's car. Makes getting in and out of low/ high vehicles mush easier.

I have lower back pain, so this is a great aid to getting in and out of my car. Don't always remember to use it and you need to open door fully to use it properly. It is not a perfect fit, in my car, so I have to remember to push straight down and not to push sideways against it. Hence the four stars.

Very sturdy and great nonslip grip. Bought for my wife who sadly will not be using it but I’m now having problems getting out of our car and this has been a great help. Locks in well and easy to remove. Great for the price.

I have two elderly parents and thought this might help me/them rather than having to wynch them in and out of the car. Nope. It just digs in their back or they fall in to it/it gets in the way. Easier to just wynch them in and out myself. I hope I don't ever have to use it to cut a safety belt or smash a window but it's in the car just in case I need it for those scenarios.

I got this to help my elderly mother who has had a couple of strokes. My husband thought I'd wasted my money. But it has turned out to be quite helpful for her when getting out of the car. She grabs the arm of the wheelchair (which is put close to the car) with her (weak) right hand, and grabs this handle with her left hand, and uses it to pull herself into a standing position. (At the same time I am also pulling on her coat or the gait belt.) She actually prefers holding onto the strap above the grip handle, but also uses the grip handle sometimes. Occasionally she also uses it when getting into the car. It is easy to use and installs quickly. We start the car, roll down the window, loop this around the door frame above the window and click the buckle and it's ready to use. Adjust the length the first time it's used and then it stays at that length unless you adjust it again. After she is in the car and her seatbelt is hooked, I unclip this from the car door, quickly roll it up and put it into the pocket of the door until the next time.

What a great invention!! Our palliative care nurse suggested these to us when my husband was having difficulty getting in and out of the car. Strong, sturdy, easy to use, and easy to store in the car door for quick access. We have one in each car now. Plus, it has a seatbelt cutter and can break a car window, so it is multi-functional. Would be a great gift for elderly loved ones.
