The motor and chuck spin without any noticeable vibrations. The guide shafts look like good quality metal and seem precise enough for hobby work. I think the manufacturer should have done that because it's something you would adjust often. One complaint is that the included drill bits were scattered in their plastic box and when I rearranged them found some sizes were missing and some duplicated.
