Maxxair Maxx I+ Vent Cover

Ordered three to cover existing vent covers that perpetually degraded from UV exposure, even though the trailer was tarped for 6 months over the winter…..easy installation, place the cover over the vent, approximating a centered position, this is the most time consuming part , mark the locations through the vent holes on the roof, place the angle brackets over the roof markings and this will locate the position to drill on the vent frame. The washers that go on the inside of the vent frame may be problematic if you have a plastic frame protruding up the interior sides of the vent…..I found the washers fit by placing them on first, sliding the washer between the plastic interior trim and vent wall, place the screw from the outside in through the drilled hole through the washer, then expansion washer, then secure with supplied nut. The positioning and drilling take most of the time, securing with nuts is easy. Apply anti-seize paste to the outside bolts securing the cover to the angle brackets and do not over tighten to avoid cracking the cover.

La instalación es complicada, a pesar del instructivo se requieren materiales especiales como por ejemplo una claraboya que sea de metal ya que va anclada a la misma y si es de plástico se puede romper.

These are really nice. Extra layer of protection from damage. Nice fit. Easy installation. Just make sure its not rubbing the roof. These should come standard on trailers.

Easy to install need to drill holes but anyone can do that now i dont have to worry about vents being open if it rains. And i leave them open traveling on my adventures and the trailer is not stuffy inside when i arrive. And will protect my vent cover in a hail storm or whatever mother nature brings to them. I’ve used these before on my other trailers and they work.
