Question 1

I noticed in the reviews that the stitching in the shoe is falling apart. Has that occurred a lot?Also i wear a 10 and what is the other sizes listed?

I have been wearing the Sperry Billfish for 20+ years. I literally wear them every day. I keep 3 pairs going: 1 clean and new pair for going out casual 2nd or for knocking around the house and working on hobbies 3rd pr a bit worn out and they get used for yard work and such. At some point every couple years, l order a new pair and discard the worn out yard shoes because they have holes in them and look pretty ratty. They are my base shoe and you are more likely to see me in them than not. I have never had any quality issues like stitching coming undone or shoe laces wearing out. They are meant to be tied so you can just slip them on - not tie them everytime you put them on. Have never had the laces break before the shoe is shot. They are excellent shoes. which models are good for winter usage

I dont understand why people bother to answer questions with "I dont know". The only thing worse is people who answer INCORRECTLY!!  By "winter usage" I've got to assume you're talking about "cold".  Although I've never owned a pair. I see that the make these with wool uppers.  From my mountaineering experience, I know wool was the material of choice for the cold long before synthetic fabrics were invented.  There are two properties that make wool a great material for winter. 1 is that well will retain somewhere around 80 - 90 % of its thermal properties even when wet.  The other us that wool doesn't burn. It may smolder a bit, but it wont ignite.  Modern day synthetics like polar fleece are close to well in thermal properties when wet, but it will melt, idle not ignite with fire.  So if recommend the will shoes for winter.  I'd have to guess that's why they made them in the first place.  I also wouldn't be surprised if wool doesn't have some other properties to it that make it more durable le in a salt water environment, but that's oure speculation on my part that I haven't looked into yet.

regarding the width:  what is the difference between the C/D and the D(M)?

My laces wore out before the shoe what do i do?

The laces have shown wear sooner than the leather laces.  But I still prefer them-they stay tied better.  Still got 2 years out of them with a lot of wear.  Still my knock-around shoes for fishing, boating and chores.
