Fabulously Fun, Easy, Secure, Like 1” PVC
Oh my goodness gracious! I was able to set up three joined faux walls in the time it takes to connect vacuum cleaner extension rods. Just like “LEGOS” (tm), these metal poles of various sizes, slide into one another until you get the height you need. Their stability comes from YOU, creating a tight, ‘t’ain’t moving nowhere’ fit from the floor to your ceiling. How? Four of the poles are tension rods using heavy-duty metal springs allowing adjustments to be made at every inch, until one arrives at the desired rock solid stability, that’s how. I created a cozy and completely private self-standing den/guest ROOM, where there was previously, just a giant open space, using these ceiling to floor rods, a mix of sheer and light blocking curtains. It took half an hour to complete the wall. Fifteen minutes to figure out the poles. FYI, the instructions suck. Common sense beats the ‘mess of words’ called directions, they came with. They come in two colors. Thank Gawd a lil bit o metal paint spray will give you all the rest. I’m getting another set to make another room within a room because they are addicting, easy to remove, and cause no harm to secure structures.

Perfect!
These are amazing! I got 2 packages and divided them for 3 windows. I did cut a piece of paper towel and placed it between the top of the pole and the ceiling to avoid marks on the ceiling. The only issue is I have a baseboard heater on one wall with 2 of the windows so they don’t sit as close to the top of those windows.

Easy, sturdy, flexible design; will damage some ceilings.
Why I knocked off 1 star 2 years later: Damage to ceiling defeats the entire purpose of this system (I've added the relevant pictures). You will want to put a thin cloth or something between the top end and any ceiling that is not just untextured concrete to prevent damage. Otherwise, this system has been PERFECT for me. Read on for what's great about it: My original 5-star review: I absolutely love this vertical tension rod system. I got two sets so that I could curtain off one corner of my living room and turn it into an office, and it works perfectly. I've got heavy floor-length blackout curtains on them, and they're doing just fine with the weight. The pieces that hook the horizontal bars onto the vertical supports are completely separate from the bars, which means you can put two of them on the same vertical support and easily turn a corner like I did (see pics), or put two bars going across the same vertical supports if you want a system of two kinds of curtains (such as sheers plus blackouts). The instructions say to have a separate horizontal bar for each section, with every other bar above or below the previous one. However, I have found (as you can see in the pictures) that you can totally put one bar all the way across the full length with just one hook on the vertical bar in the middle. This was important in my installation to get the curtains to hang the way I wanted them and to get the correct length bar in the final result. The vertical and horizontal bars are each made of sections that screw together. The vertical bars are able to adjust perfectly to the height of your space due to a combination of ratchet buttons and tension spring. The horizontal bars have less flexibility because there are no adjustable pieces, just bar sections to screw together. One of the best features of this set is that the sections for the vertical and horizontal bars have the same diameter and threading, so they are interchangeable if you want to do something funky with the dimensions of your final installation. Oh, and if you like my curtains, they're by JIUZHEN, which you can find here on Amazon.

Great Product to Divide Room
I bought it to make a somewhat "closet/work" space in my room but didn't want my bedroom to look like a storage area. I wanted it to look like I had a wall. These are great. Instructions were confusing at first but once I understood what was what, it was very easy. This does not come with a curtain, so make sure you order that additionally. My walls are 10 feet apart with 10 ft ceilings. These could have accommodated a ceiling that was slightly taller and walls that were slightly wider. I used 108inch grommet curtains for mine. I have already purchased another one to section off a different part of the house. Recommendation: build one vertical stand first to figure out the height, then make the other ones to match.

Easy to put up
I used these tension rods to put curtains up on my balcony. The tension rods were easy to put up. I do recommend actually measuring your ceiling height and not just guessing like I did, and it will be even easier. My balcony is long and the height varies by a few inches from one side to the other. These are very durable. They have only fallen once, and that was when I forgot to open the curtains during a storm with tornadoes, so I can't really blame the curtain rods for that. I'm very happy with these and have recommended them to several of my neighbors.

Terrible. Flimsy. Pieces didn't fit together
So disappointed. The pieces didn't fit together and were so flimsy I thought they would bend when I was trying. Promptly pack it back up and it will be returned.

I got this curtain rod on a special deal, and I’m really happy with it! Installation had a small hiccup at first, but I figured it out eventually. The included instruction diagram is simple and easy to follow. Shipping was super fast—I received it the next day. I really love it, and it looks great with my curtains installed!

Good and solid BUT the screws are too short: very hard actually to tighten the support holders.
