Is the current rating total or per channel?

The current is the total output up to 2.1amp. If two devices are charged at the same time, the total current will be split evenly between each port. If only a single device is charged, the maximum output current is 2.1amp, thank you!

I bought these recently and they carge my device, but they emit a high pitched noise. Is this a safety issue?

Yes! I just received mine yesterday and same thing. Reminds me of high pitched tones used when testing hearing of high pitched tones. Maybe too high pitched for some people to hear. Unsure if safety issue but it is annoying

I have item that powers from wall 110. i need to power it from a usb port. i need the reverse of this converter. send me link?

Unfortunately, you won't be able to power a 110V device from a USB port. USB simply cannot deliver that kind of power, converter or not. If you need to run a plug-in device in a car that has 12V jacks ("cigarette lighter" ports), you can use a device called an inverter to do so. Search "car inverter" here on Amazon and you'll find lots of them. Look at the power requirement of your device (i.e. how many watts it uses) to determine what size inverter you will need.
