MARATHON CL030027-FD-BK Slim Atomic Wall Clock with Full Calendar and Large Display and Indoor/Outdoor Temperature (New Full Display, Color: Black)

We've had our old wall clock for YEARS but everything has it's life time and it finally gave up about four months ago (took me a while to write a review:)). We decided to try a new brand and zoomed in on a Marathon brand. So far, happy with functionality and features we were looking for: large numbers, indoor and outdoor temps, week days displaying etc. We're pleasantly surprised with the fact that, despite the overall size, all numbers are big enough in order to be seen from at least 7-8 feet. Will update in 6 months but, most likely, would recommend to others.

I was looking for a an atomic clock for my garage and this is perfect. Displays correct time and temperature and date automatically. Large letters easy to read and very clear. The package came with a separate transmitter for place outside to send temperture to the clock. Instructions very clear and setup took only minutes; it comes with batteries. I would definitely buy again and considering buying another for my home office.

Love this clock! Our old atomic clock finally broke after 20 years or more of having it. We ordered this one because it has a more modern look and the large display numbers really help when trying to catch a glimpse of the temp outside on your way out the door. Setup was easy, but we did have to let it sit overnight to let it sync up with NIST (not sure if right acronym). For those that like the temp, time and moon phase all at a glance, this clock is for you!

I bought this clock to replace a similarly-featured La Crosse Technology clock that died after 15 years' of service. I like this clock since it has a smaller surrounding frame and bigger clock display area. The calendar and temperature displays are easier to read than on my old La Crosse clock. However, having just gone through the DST to Standard Time transition, this clock DID NOT automatically change to Standard Time. I had to manually turn off the DST feature to get the correct time. My old La Crosse clock and another La Crosse clock I now have automatically did the DST to Standard Time transition without any manual intervention. Had the Marathon clock automatically handled the DST to Standard Time transition, I would have given it a 5-star rating.

I was very excited to get this thermometer and setting it up the first time was a piece of cake. I've had the unit for a week so cannot rate the durability yet. The display is quite large and the instructions recommend placing the unit by a window so options were limited for me. Overall. I'm quite happy with my purchase.

Simple and stylish. Can't think of any better clock than this. Pros: 1) Stylish & Large display 2) Clear & Sharp display, larger viewing angle 3) Accurate indoor and outdoor temperature 4) Radio controlled clock works perfectly (Unless like my previous Ambient Weather) 5) Excellent build quality Suggestion /Improvements: 1) Get rid of alarm clock feature, I can't think of a reason why someone would want to use in this age of cellphones 2) Automatic back-lit upon dark. Back-lit display to be very faint and to use batteries rather than AC

It was easy to set up. My husband mounted the outside sensor close to the actual clock which I keep on my wall in the kitchen. I refer to it all the time, for the time mainly, especially as I'm cooking. Our previous one, which was not the same brand as this new one, had lasted for years. We had it on the wall where the new one is now. We finally had to get rid of it as it completely broke down. I so missed it being there. We followed the directions exactly, and the time set itself. I was happy with that. The only thing we had to do was reset the time zone. Also following the directions and not difficult. I read the other reviews and saw where it quit sensing the temp after a few days. So far so good.

I purchased this clock to replace another similar atomic clock that we had for over 20 years. The old one just started having issues with the display. I went with Marathon because I have one of their travel alarm clocks with an atomic feature, and it's been extremely reliable. This one is pricier than similar clocks, but it had good reviews, and I had good luck with the other Marathon product, so I went with this one. I have never been able to get this clock to sync with the signal from Denver. I am using it in the same room as my previous atomic clock and the old clock had no problem picking up the signal. I've tried putting it in windows facing the direction and leaving it there overnight but no signal. I've tried setting it first but it gains a few minutes a day over time (something pretty rare for quartz clocks. I have a house full of inexpensive battery operated quartz clocks that all keep better time than that). I'm giving it three stars because 1) I bought it for the atomic feature, and it won't work 2) it gains more than a quartz clock should 3) I feel like I paid too much for it. There are a lot of 5 star reviews for this product. Maybe I just got a lemon. Your mileage may vary.

We'd actually bought it for a relative, but they didn't want it, and so we kept it. We had a previous LARGE DISPLAY clock inherited from a different relative, but this one was bigger and had more more information. The display is crisp and HUGE, meaning you can read it across a sizeable room. The update of the time from shortwave radio signals works well for us, and the clock is always accurate to the second. The indoor and outdoor temperature feature is also great. The clock comes with a wireless outdoor temperature sensor.

I like the large display which makes it easy to read from a distance. I like the accuracy of the atomic clock. It took me a few attempts to find the right spot for the outdoor sensor but I like having the outdoor temperature easily accessible. I also like the indoor temperature. I put the clock in different room from the heating/cooling thermostat so it is a good check on the overall indoor temperature. There isn't anything I don't like.

Il n’y a pas d’éclairage de fond pour la nuit et le senseur extérieur ne mesure la température seulement jusqu’à - 20 C ce qui est complètement inacceptable pour un produit canadien. C’est fautes de design et de conception justifie une côte de 4.
