i bought an open box special from amazon and had to send it back because it did not have an a/c cord. Does this come with one?

There is a power supply unit that ships with it. Contact the manufacturer, TP-link to obtain a new one.

Will this work on an Epson L800?

I never got mine to work at all and ended up returning it, so I wouldn't count on it!

won't this print without a router? it's supposed to be a wireless print server. if a PC is wifi but not on internet, wouldn't this work?

I know that in order to set it up, it must use a wireless computer. You must have the drivers for the printer. I personally did not have to have the wireless router to access the printer with the setup computer. I only had to access the wireless router when I set up remote computers to talk with it.

I have an old but Gold-like HP Laserjet 5100 parallel port printer, using it for the last 15 years, without any problems. so recently when I bought a new pc, without having provision for parallel port, I tried PCI Express parallel card, but without any success. With lot of research on the net, I found this device, but still had doubts about its working in Windows 10 platform as some buyers' expressed, having faced problems in installing this device. But if we proceed with a systematic approach it will be easier to install I first installed the print server (Tl-PS110P) using another pc running on windows 8 platform. I used the setup app supplied with the print server. Then connected the Print Server to the computer running windows 10. Using the IP address of the print server (192.168.0.4) I logged in through Firefox (Chrome didn't allow) and created username/password for the print server.. Now my print server works pefectly fine.!!!!

NOTE - This review is specific to the **TP-LINK TL-WPS510U Wi-Fi Print Server** (not the Parallel or USB print servers). Outstanding! Highly Recommend. Very pleased with this Wi-Fi Print Server. It's tiny - half the size of a deck of cards. Printer: HP LaserJet 1200 circa 1990's (using PCL 5 print drivers) - the little LaserJet workhorse! Previous networked solution - USB cable HPLJ to DLINK router, plus DLink's ShareportPlus utility installed on each PC. (Unreliable in a multi-user, concurrent printing environment.) New networked solution - TP-LINK TL-WPS510U Wi-Fi Print Server mounted inside HP LaserJet 1200 connectivity bay (totally concealed). Successfully working on 5 PCs (all Windows 7 SP1, 1 Dell desktop, 3 Dell laptops, 1 HP desktop) Step 1 - Turn off printer; mount WPS510U inside LaserJet, power up both print and WPS510U. (10 minutes) Step 2 - run "Easy Setup" (from the mini-CD) on first PC. This configures the WPS510U in the printer and on the network (via DHCP), then configures the printer port for the PC. (10 minutes) Step 3 - run "Setup Wizard" (from the mini-CD) on remaining PCs. This configures the printer port for each PC. (5 minutes per PC) Success - printing tests on all 5 PCs successful. HP LJ1200 is now WiFi capable. No complications during setup, at all. Also Note - I'm running a multi-printer environment - HP LJ1200 (now WiFi) and an EPSON Workforce Pro 4530 MFP (with built-in WiFi). Both printers happily co-existing.
