Beautiful and highly articulate
My childhood has been outlined by MGS and I purchased this model on a pre-order after tormenting myself for a week over it.I work a phone job and I have variable downtime, but I am not a talented painter, so I went without this process keep in mind.Assembling this piece seemed like a daunting task but the instructions that are present are as easy as matching a alphabetical sheet of plastic bits to the numbers listed in the clearly detailed instructions. I managed to just hold up the pieces to the pictures and figure it out with such speed, that I assembled the entire model in only 2 work days.Perhaps it was my fervor or the fact that I didn't sand down every little bump, but my coworkers find it an amazing piece and I'm certainly impressed by the tiny details and the fact that i can move almost every part of this model to my liking. The figurines come unpainted but I understand that all you need is a gundam marker and a solvent soaked rag.

very nice kit
this kit is (as other reviewers have put it) one for the pros. you're going to want at least a few high-grade or real-grade gundam kits under your belt before attempting to build this model. assembly requires patience, but it does not require a degree in engineering. pay close attention to instructions and you'll do fine. i've only found a select few pieces i needed to glue down, but aside from then the whole thing comes together beautifully. as for paint; it's not required, but if you're talented, go for it.my package shipped from japan to the USA in a few days, and in about 3 weeks i received it. i was charged no tariffs (due to the product being a model), and it cleared customs like a breeze, arriving a full 11 days earlier than the estimated time.if you liked metal gear solid, (and you especially liked driving REX in MGS4) you'll love this kit. (i planned on getting it 18 months ago!)

Excellent model
TLDR: If you want a metal gear rex but don't want to pay more than 200 dolars this is excellentOnly problems were:-The "knee" articulation is very hard to move and in the right leg it pops off instead of moving.-The "missile" details on the knees come off way too often to the point i am considering gluing them-The same old problem with very small human figures (too afraid to paint because of the size)The good things:-Very good details:-The support and frame makes it very posable with amazing details-Doesn't require painting and even comes with painted details (eyes)Other stuff:-Some reviewers said that the spikes on the feet keep coming off, i didn't have any problem with them

Worth the price
Really cool figure that I bought as a gift for my best friend. Fans of Metal Gear will most likely tear up while opening this box like my friend did. The model is super detailed and comes pre-painted in case you want to add more depth with your own paint. Pretty cool it includes little mini figures of Snake, Grey Fox, and Liquid.Perfect gift for any Metal Gear fan in your life!

WARNING : DO THIS ON A TABLE!
So, I love this model, its great! Looks great, moves well, very detailed and poseable! However, I constructed mine on my floor. I live in a dorm room, with no table and dark carpet. The piece was J10, which is very small, and as Ive learned, is used to connect the railgun to the actual body. Well, I popped it early on accident, and now it has just disappeared. So i have a railgun, and a metal gear, and no way to put them together. So..... What now? I cant contact the maker to get that part, so I guess i have METAL GEAR CHICKEN now. Oh well, still cool!

Awesome kit, fun, nostalgic.
Final product built right out of the box, not painted yet. Awesome build, took me an afternoon to build it, lots of parts, 4 mini figures from the game( 2x greyfox, 1 liquid snake, 1 solid snake). Rule of thumb, If its a Kotobukiya kit, its going to be amazing and well worth it.

Master Grade Metal Gear
Awesome model kit. If you've built a master grade gundam, you'll be right at home with this. No glue required! Looks fantastic with tons of detail and moving parts. It's a little pricey but if you're into Japanese model kits and love Metal Gear, it's totally worth it.

Foooooooxxxx!
Wonderful build, Went togeather really well and had a blast doing it. The only parts i had trouble in the build was the feet prongs/claws. The rest was like building a dream, was great building the leg with actual pistons inside and out, the cockpit, was fun. I never had much luck model painting so i left it its basic gray with no camo. After i was finished i brewed up some hot Tea (Came in the shipping box with the model, compliments in the package from wonderful Asians) and just marveled.
