Good shoe! have bought three of them so far.
In Short: Good shoes, good laces, and are a great pick for work. In Long: Good quality shoes, laces hold up well, color is nice and the arch is not too high. They only last me about two years, but I really tare up my cloths so anything that last a year for me will likely last serval for other people. They grip the ground and make travel in the mountains easy, and they also do not hurt your feet when you walk around town. I have really wide feet, and I struggle to find shoes that fit me (will have to get custom boots this winter my dang hobbit feet won't stop getting broader). It is often a question of which shoes hurts the least, rather than which shoe is the most comfortable. Then about four years ago my mother found these and got me a pair. And for the first time since I was thirteen, they were bearable! And once I broke them in they were even slightly comfortable! I can only imagine how comfortable these would be for someone who has normal feet, because for me these are the best shoes I have worn for a very long time.

Just my opinion but these are the best shoes available
Keen shoes last longer than most of its competitors. Love these shoes water resistant and comfortable to wear all day hiking walking or work

Socks not included...
My second pair of these. I left Oboz for these and I won't be going back anytime soon. These shoes are awesome. The bottoms are starting to peel away on one of my original ones after a year or a year and a half. I probably could glue it back on because its just a couple of the knobby parts on the side sole. I walk and run and climb and fart and complain all day on construction sites and these shoes don't hurt at the end of the day or ever seem too heavy. Oboz were too heavy. My 2008 Merrells were only slightly better than these. I think the were even lighter for almost the same protection. These definitely don't slip real easy and I like that. I enjoy more of the standing in these shoes than the laying on the ground in these shoes but that's just personal preference. I'm sure you would enjoy them either way.

Comfortable shoe, but wont last all year.
Really like the looks and fit. But the glue and tread separated after only a few months. Which make this an expensive shoe to buy two times a year. *Will buy keen again as they support public land!

Quality Hiker
Very high quality hiking shoe, literally ready to wear out of the box. Typical Keen box toe look, however comfortable, and durable for most conditions. I have been wearing them periodically for 3+ months, and very satisfied. Highly recommended

Expensive shoes that rapidly fall apart
Updated yet again. I've worn the replacement pair that Keen sent me for about two months and the sole of one of them is already coming off. The glue on this pair is better, this time the grey rubber layer is tearing instead. I'm done with Keen. Don't waste your money. Don't waste the blisters of breaking in a new pair that'll almost immediately fall apart on you. -- Updated again. I liked these shoes enough initially to buy a couple more pairs of the same thing before they were discontinued, like every comfortable shoe always is when I need a replacement. Started wearing the next pair and both soles were peeling off in multiple places in just a few miles of walking on pavement. The glue holding the black layer to the grey layer had no strength at all, I could peel the whole thing apart with just finger pressure. I complained to KEEN and they sent me a free replacement pair, which was stand up service by them. So final word is that QC is spotty but service is excellent and if you get a good pair then these are excellent hiking shoes. -- Updated: I got about 6 months out of these shoes, which is average for me. The uppers held up like new. The soles peeled off while there was still a bit of tread left but they were already getting too thin to wear much longer. The glue holding the soles on also started to lift up around the edges but shoe goo fixed it. Keeping the 4 star rating. -- These are real hiking shoes with good support, a stiff sole, and plenty of padding. They feel solid and durable. Breathability is not very good, the vented area isn't very big and the tongue is gusseted with very little slack so you can't open the shoes up to dry faster. The curved edges of the sole around the arch of your foot, on both sides of the Keen logo, are perfectly shaped to squeeze great roostertails of mud up and outwards onto your other leg, or anyone walking near you. The laces are at least a foot longer than they have any reason to be, and the loop the top of the heel is inexplicably and idiotically not actually at the top of the heel so it crumples on the way on every time. I wear a 12D and these fit as expected.

OMG!!! GREAT SHOE!!!
Woman here, with big feet!! I walk and hike a lot and I'm hard on my shoes! I gave up trying to find comfortable, sturdy women's shoes that I can walk miles in. It took me a few tries, but figured out I wear a size 9!!!! In men's shoes!!! I've always worn women's 9 or men's 7.5-8. After a season of blisters and corns (WTH???) I tried larger, wider men's shoes. Just received these, and I'm just about crying because they are so comfortable!!! I may sleep in them!! Keen are noted for their roomy toe box. My toes are so happy, I keep wiggling them around! These are a good, sturdy construction and I'm guessing they will last me a long while. In warmer weather I walk 6-10 miles a day. I prefer to walk on dirt trails in the woods. These shoes are perfect for that. Sturdy, beefy soles that will grip whatever I chose to climb. They have mesh venting, so not waterproof. Just took them out for a test drive and very pleased with performance. Grippy, beefy soles. Logs, rocks, mud, shoes performed great. Thick soles and cushy insoles handled rocks and uneven ground. Could feel rocks a little but definitely better than my trail runners. There was plenty of room for wool socks and feet stayed comfortable in mid 30 degree weather. All in all, very pleased with this purchase.

perfect width.
I have always loved Keen shoes. They seem to be slightly wider in design than any other shoe brand. I have flat feet, so they feel great.
