Compact, Durable, and Highly Functional
Its compact design allows it to fold neatly when not in use, saving valuable space on your belt or pack. When deployed, it offers ample room to hold up to six or seven M4 magazines, making it ideal for range days or field operations. One of the standout features is the drawstring closure, which helps prevent items from falling out during movement. This is particularly useful when you're on the move and need to ensure your gear stays secure. Overall, the Maxpedition Rollypoly Folding Dump Pouch combines durability, functionality, and convenience, making it a reliable choice for anyone in need of a quality dump pouch.

Perfect.
The Rollypoly is absolutely perfect. I've come to really like Maxpedition products (this being my fourth purchase, after an EDC pack, a wallet for my wife, and a deck of playing cards). All their stuff is superbly crafted, very durable, and does exactly what it claims. The velcro on this is tough and clean (not overly fuzzy or sloppy like on some other products), the stitching is robust, the material is thick and rugged. I bought this mainly to store my pocket dump at the end of the day, to help keep things together, and for this, it works flawlessly. I stuff it full to the top, including my belt, pocketknives, hanky, multitool, flashlight, pens, et cetera. A little over five pounds of gear (yes, I weighed the whole thing on a food scale), and it still closes perfectly. The drawstring also helps, but I rarely use it. When it's not holding my stuff, it rolls up and goes on my belt. I've already found many uses for it. When I'm working on a project, it holds my tools, my nails and screws, or anything else. And it doesn't poke me uncomfortably in the belly, like a lot of other things that are supposed to go on belts. Unless I'm sitting at an awkward angle, but usually that's a sign that work is over and I should be taking off my gear anyway. And it's got a little grommet-hole in the bottom, so you could even put wet things in there (like say, if you just caught a fish). My only minor complaint is that I wish the drawstring were a non-elastic material (I believe the larger model uses paracord), because the elastic requires a long pull to get the bag to close. But it's not enough of an issue to lose a star, because the elastic (shock-cord? bungee?) still works perfectly. I definitely recommend the Rollypoly, and any Maxpedition product, for that matter.

Compact Utility
I bought two Rollypolys, one for my pack, one for my wife's. These things are little gems. When rolled up, they are a fraction of the size of most competing dump pouches. The construction is very stout, too, and the bag stays open on its own beautifully. The included clip for vertical webbing mounting is a nice touch. While the Rollypolys have a belt loop, it doesn't seem to add any floppiness when Molle-mounted, as the thing is so compact when rolled up. Ours are mounted on the sides of our packs, low, so that when open you can reach directly into the pouch without fussing with the pack. This is a Swiss Army sort of pouch. Useful for all kinds of things you wouldn't think of until you have the need. Anyone who hikes or camps will find uses for it constantly. One reminder applicable to the dump pouch concept, no matter what the brand: With any MOLLE-mounted dump pouch, you will have to remove the pouch to carry it full or conveniently dump it. Leave it mounted on your pack and you have 3 options: empty it an item or handful at a time, turn the pouch inside out to empty it, or turn your pack upside down. Yikes! Obviously not an issue if you're using it to carry a water bottle or something. I used Blackhawk! 3" Speed Clips to mount mine. Highly recommended.

Nicely-sized dump bag for any competition belt
As a small person using pistols, I really don’t want a huge dump bag with room for 15 30-round magazines for 5.56 or 7.62 ammo. Not only would it take precious space on my belt, but it would look ridiculous covering my backside. I struggled to find something small enough until I found this one. This is the perfect size to accommodate several magazines from my 9mm 2011. The edge is nice and rigid when open, and there is Velcro on the inside to keep the flap out of the way while the pouch is in use. When I’m ready to go home, it easily folds up into a neat bundle and stays secure with another piece of Velcro on the outside. I am always concerned with a fold-up piece like this that I will have to memorize a complicated set of instructions to get it back into the neat bundle in which it arrived, but I was pleasantly surprised that this doesn’t require any special moves to return this to it’s folded state. I am very pleased with this pirchase and don’t hesitate to recommend it.

I even wear it at home
I'm not just a fan of Maxpedition, I'm quickly becoming an advocate-- keeping your hands free is really important not just for shooters but for anyone job that requires wearing a lot of hats. My field of security is just as much customer service as it is maintenance and that means that my appearance counts: the Maxpedition Folding Dump pouch is on my 7 o'clock as an all-purpose tool carrier when necessary, trash bag when is necessary (plastic bag folded into the pouch is probably a good idea), charging station when necessary (a few feet of 750 paracord which I leave in the folded bag allows me to tie my charger to my work phone, cell phone, arc lighter, bluetooth headset case, work tablet, and/or other such devices as need to be charged during my shift)... basically if I'm in any kind of a situation when I need to carry A to B it goes into the pouch and generally out of sight. My job specifically wants me to look the least amount of 'tactical' as possible, and by this, I mean they want me to avoid gorilla walk (when your hands swing wide of your hips to avoid collision with your duty belt) because again, appearance is important. The dump pouch, even when it isn't folded up, is out of the way of my 'gait' while walking, has minimal amounts of 'flop' (I use Maxpedition tac ties which are not included), and is fairly invisible to all except the most nitpicky-- it's about the thickness of two packs of cigarettes. The nylon is VERY rigid and it WILL scratch and cut into hands, arms, and pretty much any exposed skin you swing at it so placement is important. It didn't interfere with my ability to drive (I leave it on a Dickies belt with the tac ties, no special modifications) or pretty much any other daily task I can throw at it. I personally advocate that if you're worried that xyz happening then try xyz with it! For me that question was about falling and rolling around so I had a martial arts friend of mine spar with me for a bit while wearing my work gear-- the pouch had some minimal interference but was otherwise fine. BTW, it cleans up nice with just a bit of water on a rag. Two columns and three rows of MOLLE straps is what you have to attach the dump pouch to your person and note the pouch rarely wants to attach 'square' because of where the third row of straps is located (the bag folds on the third row of straps). When you're attaching this it'll help to have the bag open regardless of the tac ties being on there or not. I'm wondering how this would affect Blackhawk quick release users. There's going to be some flop, it's a bag after all, but in the spirit of 'if worried, do,' I've sprinted fairly short distances with the loads I'd typically carry (plus a little bit) and the depth of the bag is a serious plus. There are two velcro pads, one inside the bag and one outside the bag, and the internal pad keeps the strap out of the way so there's maximum access to the bag. The bag itself stays fairly rigid and that helps to keep flop to a minimum and consequently I don't have to worry about things flying out of the bag when I have to move. That having been said, I never have the bag loaded to more than half its height, so YMMV. Overall I'm more than pleased with this product and would highly recommend it and this manufacturer to others!
