I purchased this bungee to use with my pickup when I am hauling bags. I haul water with a water tank that has a flat top, so I am able to place bags of leaves or other things on top of the water tank, but I needed some way to secure the load from blowing off the water tank and out of the pickup. I actually use this to stretch diagonally across the bed of my pickup to secure things that sit on top of the water tank. And then I stretch shorter bungees directly across the bed. It is heavy-duty and stretches to around 8', so it works great for that. I like the doubled metal hook that this has, rather than the single metal hook that most bungees have. The double metal hook is much stronger and more importantly, the end is a nice, smooth rounded end, rather than the sharp end of a single run. It doesn't scratch paint as badly as a single does. The 2 plastic, adjustable clamps, which can be used to secure most any tarp or material, is probably the most useful I have seen. It firmly clamps onto different thickness materials, holding very tightly. You don't need a grommet to attach this bungee to, because these clamps will clamp at any location on a tarp.
