I clipped it to my drawing table as I paint on it and it work very well. I was hoping that something like this existed, and I am glad it does. The bar can extend quite a bit so it cover my table from one end to the other easily. It's a good quality construction. So it's easy to attach it to any flat surface, not just the canvas.
